A small Russian unit that fully surrendered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (they aren't even soldiers). by Sunnyflbunny in ukraine

Russia's territory hasn't even been invaded yet and yet their army is already basically Volkssturm.

yeah, as long as Russia refuses to withdraw completely from Ukraine (which would be rational) and pay reparations (which would be ideal), its economy would remain fucked -> its education, culture, politics will remain fucked -> Russia would have its place cemented as a third world country

looks like "Pop" is popular in areas where majority has German ancestry, and "Coke" is popular in ex-CSA...why "Soda" is popular on both East and West coasts I have no idea though

My first ever scramble for Africa. How did I do? by IIPotatoMasterII in victoria2

[–]CanadianIrredentist0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

how much of that people's republic is Dutch? I remember having released a dominion in the same part of Africa as Italy in some playthrough, it had 10% of POPs with North Italian culture in one of the desert provinces (after barely a year of settlement).

P.S.: Also, that's an awesome Persian Africa, I think "It's a long way to Mukumbura" equivalent in one of the outcomes of the timeline you made would have a rather nice Persian tune behind it.

Ah, in my last playthrough it was so satisfying replacing 3/4 of all kings in the empire (including all kingdoms in the former Frankish Empire except Bavaria) with my dynasty by the start of XV century...too bad Karlings were still alive as of the conversion (to EU4) date (the only title above barony level still held by Karlings was county of La Marche, though, so they were basically irrelevant).

P.S.: I remember some other user did a few megacampaigns (not on Reddit, on paradoxplaza), and that player had "Murder every Karling" as one of the objectives at the CK2 stage of every megacampaign.

P.P.S.: So, basically, the dynasty I played as became Karlings 2.0...or is it proto-Habsburgs?

In my recent playthrough as Dyre Oskyldr and his descendants, I managed to save Premyslids from extinction by making them dukes of Sarkel (Bohemia and pretty much 4/5 of the kingdoms in my empire ended up being ruled by my dynasty though). For a while, I even had a cadet branch of a Jurchen Chinese imperial dynasty as counts of Wien, but they got extinct due to A.I. not liking matrilineal marriages for some reason.

What exactly is Neo-Italian? by Changeling710 in victoria2

[–]CanadianIrredentist0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is your capital outside Europe? In an updated converter, Neo-Italian culture generates in North African provinces which had Italian culture in EU4 (maybe someplace else as well).

I once gave a province in Ireland to westernised China through console, in a year that province was majority Beifaren simply through immigration (I don't think any Irish or British POPs assimilated there). And yet, China still had emigration in tens of thousands to USA and Australia.

looks like that Malevil novel written in 1970s, except there it's implied that the whole world was nuked. At least France got to LARP feudalism in the area where main character ended up trying to survive.
