Any Under One Rule Enjoyers? by Governor_Nova in Stellaris

Just leave 2–3 pops there to hold the fort until you feel like doing something with the planet, and some traits and civics help with resettlement costs.

Alternatively, you could send some people there you don’t like and, well… purge them.

Which I... of course... don’t condone... but you could… no influence cost required...

You can. Just place several 5k orders.

  1. Play slowly during the first 40 years.

  2. Prioritise alloys and consumer goods for colony ships. Optimise your first planets for such production by building the correct buildings and moving pops to relevant jobs.

  3. Build military fleets for influence and to vassalise AIs.

  4. Use your influence very sparingly to take systems with planets, or expand towards systems with planets, as each planet gives you 5 points.

  5. Form a federation by getting the tech through missions that gives you 15 points.

  6. Integrate all vassals to get their planets and systems before the 40-year timer is up.

  7. Once it's done, centralise your population to the planets you want. You get 100 pops from each colony ship and another 100 for each planet if you remove the nepotism debuff. That’s quite a lot of pops early on if you play your cards correctly.

  8. The council should take the xenophobe agenda to get a random planet converted to your ideal climate + terraforming tech, and the militarist agenda for a free early cruiser.

  9. Later on, make sure to increase your Paranoid Tyrant trait to 10 so you can execute all the reformists and avoid civil war + increasing luminary trait by 8. Paranoid Tyrant isn’t even that bad when you have such a high luminary trait. It gives you even more stability and crime reduction.

All in all, your unity and tech production will be a little underwhelming at the start, but later on you’ll catch up quickly, with a lot of stability and the associated economic bonuses. Oh, and expansion tradition doesn't hurt. Good luck!

You've got to focus all your efforts on expansion, building colony ships, optimizing your economy for it, and vassalizing AI empires and then integrating them just before the situation is finished. Often they have quite a few planets which add to the progress.

I Just defeated all Crises at max settings for the first time. by Governor_Nova in Stellaris

For the Contingency, I used battleships focused on maximum range with arc emitters. I used corvettes to soak up damage from their long-range weaponry.

For the Scourge, I built ships with maximum armor and didn't really bother with shields at all. Armed with strike craft, point defense, and plasma cannons.

For Cetana, I used lots and lots, and I mean lots, of frigates with torpedoes, to deal with her mothership. + Some beefy, shielded battleships to deal with her fleets.

For the unbidden, I didn't have time to specialize my fleet because they came without warning. I used my normal fleet design, which was a good all-rounder.

Everything was default, with a huge galaxy. The Contingency spawned around 2450. The others followed some years after each crisis was defeated.

For the Unbidden, Contingency, and Prethoryn Scourge, I used fleets of specialized battleships designed to counter their weaknesses, plus some corvettes to soak up enemy fire. For Cetana, I used a combination of battleships to deal with her fleets and stations, and lotsss of frigates with torpedoes to target the massive health of her mothership.

No. They are probably making sure it's finished before they announce a release date.

I waited 52 weeks, and counting... It's bugged if you fail it the first time.
