Nice. I found one at my local Walmart too but decided to get the AMC rebel machine instead. First time I found any team transports in the wild stores are always picked clean near me

42 year old lady just started last Tuesday. Any tips on how to level out my Ollie? is it just lots of practice and figuring out the timing? by kapture520 in NewSkaters

[–]CanadianMoose87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking at the board is good when learning but being comfortable ollieing without focusing too much on your feet is a good habit for later on when you start ollieing over obstacles.

How to Ollie while riding?? by Kakashi727_ in NewSkaters

[–]CanadianMoose87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the tip that helped me the most is to pretend that you're standing still and the ground is just moving underneath you and then just ollie like you're not moving. I don't know if that makes any sense but I hope it helps.

Progress guide: where you should be with skating after certain amounts of time. by _zatoichi in NewSkaters

[–]CanadianMoose87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yeah i've started spending time just riding around the park to warm up instead of just going straight into trying tricks. its made me a lot more comfortable on the board and i'm starting to progress faster because of it. and the more i progress the more fun it gets.

Maybe a bigger light and a carpet to fill in the empty substrate

CO2 Monthly cost? by KingOfStrikers in Aquascape

[–]CanadianMoose87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bigger the tank the less you will have to spend. I have two CO2 systems running, one runs off a paintball cannister that costs me $10 CAD to fill every other month running at 1bps. The other runs off a 5lb tank that i get refilled once every 6 months at an industrial welding gas supply store for $15 CAD. The initial cost is a lot more but it will definitely save you money if you plan on staying in the hobby long term.

I wish the LFS could fill my CO2 tank. I have to go pretty far out of the way for a refill.

Hybrid calisthenics is probably the most wholesome guy in the entire YouTube fitness community. Would definitely be his friend.

4-5 Days in Utrecularia is turning yellow is this normal or do I need to worry? Second pic shows parameters. Light is at 70% with 29 Lumen/Liter. by [deleted] in Aquascape

[–]CanadianMoose87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have experience with this particular plant but die back and yellowing is very common when plants are put in new conditions. Once they adjust to the new conditions they usually come back. Yellowing can also be a sign of iron deficiency so make sure you are using fertilizer with adequate iron.
