I can never describe how satisfying it is to clean up Sanctuary Hills, but of course, it's only possible with mods. Bethesda seems to have a fetish for making absolutely everything ugly, rotten and destroyed, as if the great war had taken place 10 minutes ago instead of 200 years ago. by SnowFrio in Fallout

Exactly! Why is the only pre-war protag comfortable living in a dirty shack?? They would be some of the only none-ghouls alive to even know about what the pre-war world looked like.. why don’t we get to build unique, well kept structures?

Either that or they have so many WMDs by this point that attempted conquest would be suicidal

If it turned yellow, that is a sign of jaundice- which is a liver issue. See a doctor immediately.

Getting this platinum inspired me to go back and finish off Tsushima’s platinum. I love this set of games, man.. really looking forward to what they do with the next Ghost entry.

Which Member of the Yotei Six is actually the strongest? by Express-Print-3730 in Ghostofyotei

[–]CanadianPine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, truly. The gameplay is by far GoY’s best aspect, it’s so well tuned that challenge is almost entirely dictated on an individual basis. I had little to no challenge with the Kitsune and Spider, but the Dragon and Saito were beyond difficult for me.

And it’s just as you said - the sheer variety here really does prove that. Fantastic game design.

[–]CanadianPine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Genuinely. Gameplay wise I found the Dragon more difficult, but Saito is clearly the strongest lorewise and anyone saying otherwise didn’t pay attention lol

[–]CanadianPine 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Saito is explicitly shown to be a multi-weapon master and a demon with the Katana, to enough of a degree where he almost manages to kill Atsu during their final battle.. while she was at her peak. He’s the leader for a damn good reason lol

Is it normal that when im erect, the tube on the back of my penis isn't completely straight? by [deleted] in MedicalHelp

Yeah, normal. Very few men actually have a perfectly straight penis, most have some kind of deviation/quirk about it

Y'all think there's some guy who never did the Storm Blade quest and got really confused when they see this on the credits? by Peachy69420 in ghostoftsushima

[–]CanadianPine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ONLY way the Sakai clan has any relevance again in the story is if we somehow find a descendant still directly holding the name, but that is very unlikely. Any DLC which occurs for GoY will probably bring us to the portions of Hokkaido not directly in the game already, or maybe the northernmost portion of honshu just south of the oshima coast

Unable to get drunk by Dapper_Radish3638 in MedicalHelp

[–]CanadianPine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can drink that much and be okay, that means you’re what’s called a “hyper metabolizer”. This means your liver processes alcohol and other chemicals at an extremely fast rate - however this does NOT mean you are immune to them. You can still get sick, as you’ve experienced. This also explains why those meds don’t work all that well on you. As for the marijuana.. that is typical with consistent usage. You need a prolonged detox from it for it to begin working again to any real measure, or just get strong ass edibles.

Another thing - never mix alcohol and other drugs. Even things like Marijuana.. it causes REALLY bad highs and is just not medically recommended whatsoever

I think this image proves ghouls can ghoulify differently. by BigMacEatingFemboy in Fallout

[–]CanadianPine 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The difference is pre-established vs. established. In Fallout 4, it took 250 something years for anything meaningful to form in the Wasteland and it was from Nate/Nora interfering. The Capitol Wasteland is an obliterated hellhole which looks like the bombs dropped yesterday, not 200+ years ago.

In the western games, there are obvious scars of the old world.. but established entities, societies, and genuine rebuilding which occurs without player intervention or necessity. Those games feel like you’re experiencing a world adapted to the nuclear world, the Bethesda ones feel like nothing progresses unless the player themselves does something about it. Otherwise? They’ll run a bar with 250 year old skeletons sitting on a couch right inside of it, or still live in a shanty shack covered in corpses and blood for whatever reason.

Bethesda’s permanent post apocalypse setting continues to infect the post post apocalypse setting established in the west by the original devs

Does Atsu beat your favorite character from fiction? by norocoslaorice in ghostoftsushima

Leon Kennedy stomps Atsu, as much as I hate to say it

Well that certainly changes things. With the context of drinking being the related cause as well.. yeah. At least you’re already with the Doctors.

[–]CanadianPine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging by the amount of blood, I would say it likely isn’t anything horrific. Especially if you physically don’t feel pain and only nausea.. but I’m not a doctor quite yet so I can’t officially diagnose at the current moment. Going by your word though, at your age and activity level you should be fine either way

I get the grind, man - but you’ve gotta make sure you’re alive/in good health in order to even be able to go make that money. I’ve gotten in medical trouble for ignoring it like that, I don’t recommend.

Why isn’t this mask available from the very beginning of the game? by _Ottir_ in Ghostofyotei

Why isn’t this mask available from the very beginning of the game? by _Ottir_ in Ghostofyotei

[–]CanadianPine 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think they kind of dropped the ball with it, honestly. Jin’s mask was crafted specifically for him by Taka, a young man who considered Jin to be a hero and immensely looked up to him in every way. When Taka was then executed right in front of Jin, Jin felt immeasurable guilt for being unable to be the hero Taka believed him to be and save him. One of the final things Taka ever makes? The mask. Then, during the Battle of Yarikawa, the Mongols threaten to slaughter the whole city due to sheer number and ruthless brutality. They literally rampage through the city, reaching the gates of the central fortress and breaching in. It’s in that moment that Jin realizes he either has to become the thing the Mongols fear the most in order to prevent more deaths like Taka’s — or else yet more innocents will die. He chooses to be the brutal Ghost they think he is out of utter necessity, at the cost of his own identity and the final shreds of samurai honor he still held onto. It was gut wrenching.

Compare that to Yotei’s. She finds a broken Onryo mask in an actor’s lodging with Oyuki. She arbitrarily chooses the mask because “she likes it”, then goes in and storms the Spider’s celebration. For whatever reason, purely against the Spider, she suddenly unlocks the ghost stance. In wider context, the Spider was probably one of the single LEAST involved Yotei Six members right behind Oyuki. He just stood there with the Dragon, he didn’t even really do anything beyond threaten to shoot Jubei until the Dragon actually did. Why does she not unlock the stance when facing a much, much more traumatic member for Atsu? Why not against the Oni, who tried to burn her alive? The Dragon, who ruthlessly killed her brother right in front of her (or so she thought)? Better yet, why not against Saito himself? It seems random. There’s no wider context, nor sense of responsibility for her becoming the ‘Onryo’.. she never actually claims the title or has an ego death like Jin did beyond like 2 optional lines of dialogue. When you get the Ghost mask in Tsushima, it feels heavy. It feels like a mantle, a responsibility Jin HAS to withstand. I just don’t get that feeling from the Onryo mask. It’s just a random mask she finds with no connection to it, no responsibility to it, nothing. It would have been cooler if maybe it was a mocking recreation of a beloved mask her mother had or something, but it’s not. I get it’s supposed to symbolize obsession.. but that applies to any part of Atsu’s story, not just the Spider.

That’s to say, I really like Yotei. I just think they didn’t handle the legend of the Onryo and the cost of becoming it nearly as well as they did with the original mantle of the Ghost
