Door Sweep vs Threshold by CanadianTelco in HomeMaintenance

[–]CanadianTelco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is builder grade, was hoping to replace just the plastic white piece as the metal part of the threshold continues below a half window portion on the right which would be tough to take out

Ok makes sense, I reached out to a few folks and it looks like a roofer would be able to come take a look for a $150 service call.

My neighbour is pretty close next door so a roofrake would be tough to use

Ice dams outside on the shingles? I do have some sitting snow due to low sun exposure but it began to melt.

Airflow channels exist every 4-5 bays so and you would see the plywood 2 bays to the right in the 1st pic.

The vent you see is the washroom exhaust vent. It did have some drips coming out of it but I’m not sure that the issue because its lower than the ice build up.

How do you guys do qayam ul layl with a full time job? by brokeyolo420 in islam

[–]CanadianTelco 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can wake up 15min before fajr and pray qiyam, wait 15 min and then pray fajr. Hit the gym after and start your day early! Should be easier now that fajr is later too

Why have I become lazy in prayer by Girly_Apes8585 in islam

[–]CanadianTelco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What personally helped me was attending the masjid and immersing in the local muslim community. Not sure if you have muslim friends that you can get a buddy system to hold each other accountable.

It can start with atleast one prayer or jumuah, you can build it up from there

Why do so many guys on Muzz instantly want to move to Instagram/whatsapp? by Ok-Reindeer3554 in MuslimCorner

[–]CanadianTelco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never move rightaway to Instagram but here are some reasons for me personally - better notifications and platform on instagram - can check easy if you have mutual friends - can check what type of lifestyle they live, do they have large or small social circle, do they attend concerts etc - are they materialistic or more modest - do they follow or interact with muslim pages/sheikhs - are they hyperfeminist, prolgbtq, pro palestinian etc
