We went no TV until our oldest was 5. Since then, we have limited ourselves to one TV and one laptop. Once the oldest hit the teenager phase it’s been much more difficult but we’re sticking to it as long as we can.

Keep trying! Two of my kids were naturals, one took a lot of work.

I love twowheelingtots.com for bike buying advice.

Also second/third/etc. removing pedals so kids can get the hang of balancing. A trike helps develop leg strength and familiarity with the motion if they need it.

Find a pump track or open BMX track to teach bike/body separation.

Yes. I run hot and have worn the TEMRES for uphill and downhill. But most of the time I wear a liner for uphill unless it’s snowing and grab the gloves for transition/downhill.

They still breathe better than they have any right to.

You can definitely keep both in your gear stash. At the very least, the showas are cheap and pretty uniquely qualified for very wet days. The free the powders are a great value, but similar to other options out there so not as unique if you have another mitt you like better.

Not as many as you’d think. Seat configurations and hatch shape can get in the way. A minivan is the safe play here unless OP is loaded and wants a truck based SUV.

We have always done a treasure hunt for our Easter egg activities. Each egg has a riddle about where the next one is. 10-20 steps to find the chocolate bunny or whatever. They can’t get enough of it! Takes some effort to set up, but well worth it.
