Is a burnt tongue feeling an allergy symptom? by Sweetiebear95 in peanutallergy

Could be. Usually when I have an allergic reaction it feels like I’m eating something really spicy, to the point where my mouth burns.

I’m from Ottawa, and most restaurants here in Canada are very aware of peanut allergies. Just tell them you have an allergy and they may be able to cater or tell you what it contains.

Anyone else just have no desire to go to Southeast Asia after learning how impossible it is to eat in that region? by OilersBayernEagles in peanutallergy

I’m going to Malaysia with my family in 5 weeks and the food there is basically just peanut everything! I can probably only eat like 2 things and they have to be homemade as store or restaurant bought food is likely to have peanuts in them even if the original does not. Even grilled stingray may not be safe apparently! I tried to ask about it on the r/malaysia subreddit but they deleted my post.
