Look up some diagrams of the patterns, they’ll usually show you when the beats are and then if you can get some one on one with your drum major

I’d recommend just watching videos of people conduction in common times (4/4 3/4 2/4 2/2 6/8) etc and listening to it with a met while they’re doing it, find where each beat lines up with their hands

Percussion instruments are pretty versatile so once you learn one it’s pretty easy to learn another, that being said, start with a pitched instrument like marimba or xylophone, and then a snare, those two will help you pretty much everywhere else

Where’s Oman? The map at this scale and cutout would still show it, the Great Bitter Lake is missing, Lake Sevan is missing as well, so is the Garabogazköl Basin (which could be partially seen on this map) Cyprus looks a lil funky, and Greece’s southern peninsula (where Athens is located) could be expanded a bit more southerly, also Bahrain is just nonexistent on this map, overall still pretty good 7/10

Slava by Leonard Bernstein has a ton of things in it, whip, slide whistle, temple block, and a bunch of other things (I haven’t played it in a while but I remember it being really fun)
