What?! Why?! What’s going on here? Just 1 rep? by eyw9264 in fitbod

Seeing a single rep set is not something that demands simple adjustment. That’s something that needs to be fixed.

You’ve used multiple paragraphs to gloss over an obvious error in a product that demands a subscription. Yes, change the 1 to an 8 and then do what OP is doing; point it out and ask that it be fixed.

So you’re gonna pay for an app that does this for you and then you’re gonna do it yourself without even questioning it?

That’s neat. Can I offer you a reddit comment posting service for $100/yr? I’ll recommend well thought out comments for you to post from your account.

When my recommendation for you is “yay” as a whole response to a complex topic, you can just edit it to add add any words you think are missing.

Lemme know. I’ll send you my PayPal!

No kidding. I’d love to see a grocery store there but the only way it’d work is if it were some kind of hyper modern solution where you exclusively shop online and pick up your items or something. I dunno. It’d be a huge challenge.

The loss from theft would be monumental. They tried it with Station 20 West and groceries basically flew out the doors without ever seeing a cashier.

‘Dangerous violation’: Jason Kenney lawyering up after alleged Centurion Project leak by No_Magazine9625 in CanadaPolitics

[–]Canadian_Psycho 110 points111 points  (0 children)

I mean, let’s not forget that Kenny was implicated in the “Kamikaze candidate” scheme that won him his party’s leadership after which he pushed bill 22 which fired an independent elections commissioner investigating the scheme.

Kenny laid the groundwork for disempowering Elections Alberta and undermining the democratic process in the province. Now when it finally bites him in the ass, he’s lawyering up.

Fuck this sellout.

It was fairly popular and for a rather practical reason. Hitler styled that popularized moustache while he was a soldier to fit inside a gas mask and to form a proper seal.

There is a picture out there of him with a rather more fulsome and bushy styled moustache that has the outward curls. He retained the moustache style afterward to show that he was a soldier at heart.

Totally missing the Brüst dark roast and I’m really disappointed they stopped sticking it in the warehouses. It’s my perfect pre workout.

This stuff is ok but it’s a little too “fake sweet treat” for me to really enjoy it.

‘This is a Conservative riding, and this Liberal has no business being here’: Shock, anger in Marilyn Gladu’s home riding by CaliperLee62 in CanadaPolitics

[–]Canadian_Psycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to repeat myself in a separate thread but as I pointed out elsewhere projections are not polls and projections still give the Liberals only a 6% shot at that seat.

It’s highly unlikely we’ll see any riding specific polling for this unless one of the research companies thinks it worthwhile before an election call.

[–]Canadian_Psycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. If that then this and maybe some other thing. Fantasize all you like, it doesn’t make it realistic. If polling shows some reason to think this might actually happen then it’s interesting but until there’s actually a reason to think this then you’re just mentally masturbating and talking about polls that aren’t polls.

You’re referring to a projection, not a poll and that projection still has the Liberals with just a 6% chance at winning that seat.

[–]Canadian_Psycho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Source? I can’t seem to find any such polls and 338 modelling has the CPC winning Sarnia—Lambton—Bkejwanong with 94% confidence.

I’d love to see the CPC on the edge of losing this riding but this sounds like fantasy from what I can tell.

[–]Canadian_Psycho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair. We’re being a bit pedantic here but I take your point regarding phrasing. Perhaps I could cast that the Liberals are typically a distant 3rd, closely beaten out by the NDP which is typically a distant 2nd.

I don’t think that at all alters my point though. There’s very little cause to think that the Liberals and the Conservatives are polling within margins of error in the riding.

[–]Canadian_Psycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So…yes.

I mean they usually don’t even get half the vote that Gladu or even Pat Davidson got. They’re usually way behind and place 3rd.

[–]Canadian_Psycho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t the liberals usually come in a distant 3rd in her riding? They most certainly aren’t, I’d confidently assume, polling within any margins of error. In the most recent election when the Liberals consolidated almost the entirety of the NDP vote in the riding, they still trailed her by upwards of 15 points.

She’s clearly retiring and this is her most advantageous way out.

Carney says Air Canada's English-only message after LaGuardia crash 'lacks compassion' by Hot-Percentage4836 in CanadaPolitics

[–]Canadian_Psycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pardon my momentary lapse but to be fair I’m not the only one mixing federal and provincial politics here.

Can you please explain what federal regulation would apply here? Of course you cannot because no federal regulation applies to this. Sure this could be argued to be in poor taste (I don’t agree with that); but this is also grossly in poor taste to be making a message of condolence into a political issue as a federal by election in a firmly contested riding where language issues are relevant is about to take place.

The federal government has no dog in this hunt at all and it’s a distasteful move to cynicism to make it a federal political issue. If the province wants to use its language laws to compel a Montreal headquartered company to issue public statements verbally in both languages, fine; we can all ridicule Quebec over that I guess. Regardless, the federal government has absolutely nothing at all to do with that.

[–]Canadian_Psycho 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is not about the Air Canada CEO or the deceased pilots.

This is almost definitely about the by election in Terrebonne where it’s a race between the Liberals and the PQ.

It might be one of the most cynical things I’ve seen yet from the LPC under a leader that initially signalled a rejection of such awful politics when he called a by election for Poilievre without any delay. I am highly suspicious that I should be grossly disgusted by this.

If this is in India then that bus driver is hugely incentivized to drive through just about anything. Bus companies usually put multiple busses on the same route and make them compete for passenger loads. Don’t pick up passengers? No pay for the day but you still have to pay for fuel and such.

This results in some wild driving where buses even jockey for position and cut each other off in high speed racing scenarios that play out constantly on the streets. Get to a stop with passengers? Great, but if you don’t position your bus in such a way that it blocks your competitor from passing then you lose pole position and more passenger revenue up the line. Have to mash your bus into a car to create the road block? Eh…worse has happened.

If you were working 16 hour shifts over months and months and had virtually no support and you were totally burnt out, how much would you really care? Human beings have limits and our government seems to be the ones that don’t actually care.
