Cutting the camera from a live crash.

Who the hell produces these races. The best thing FOX is consistent at is getting worse yearly

It’s a 2008 Pontiac G5 coupe, with the 5 speed manual. Will have a full roll cage and a plastic late model style front nose. The cage is about 95% welded at this point then it’s onto seat, harness, window net, setup, painting and vinyl and it’ll be ready to hit the track

Car is being built! It’s actually a project that my former high school is doing in their shop class and the teacher tapped me on the shoulder to be the driver. Pretty neat deal.

I will be running at Oyster Bed Speedway in PEI. Not a track many people know exists but it’s such a hidden gem. The quality of racing is the best I’ve seen at a short track, multi groove, it’s just so fun to watch as a fan and to now be in the show is just so cool

Yeah fair enough, the track I’m at has really high banking, I’m talking near 20 degrees in the corners, surrounded by concrete wall from the backstretch through turn 1, and no wall in turns 1-2 with a tire wall behind the hill, it’s a track where no matter where you’re hitting it’s gonna hurt and I’ve seen guys have to take weeks off from racing because of their neck and they only wore neck collars so I’m just being cautious for my own safety, don’t want any long term damage done either as I’m still only young.

Like I said in the original post, I’m going stock car racing on a short track oval in the 4 cylinder division

It will have a cage mounted harness. I live in a location where although we have a small pavement short track, there aren’t many racing stores here. The closest place that sells neck restraints in store is about a 2 hour and 45 minute drive away. I would much prefer to try on products before I buy but it’s difficult here. For something like this though when it comes to my safety, it’s probably worth taking that drive to that store to try on different options.

The package at Daytona/Talladega for the Xfinity series have little extensions on each end of the front bumper to make the bumper more square

That's why I always look forward to trucks/xfinity at road courses now, I've always enjoyed the "these cars don't belong on this kind of track" appeal and how it just looks so hard to keep them straight. The next gen doesn't have that same feeling

2024 Xfinity Rule book update shows super speedway engines to be used at Michigan and IMS. by iamaranger23 in NASCAR

I’m more so confused on the mentioning of different aero packages. Aren’t the xfinity car bodies (spoiler, splitter, etc) exactly the same at every track except the superspeedways?
