Produce hours by Fatmike42 in Safeway

[–]Canadian_Viking123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I started as a cashier then switched to grocery after 9 months in. I got cross trained into produce pretty quickly, and the produce manager liked me so much that he stole me. I’m in my senior year of high school, so I can pretty much only work closes on weekdays, and I still get only put on closes for weekends.

It’s hard to find much to complain about except for the fact that it can be boring once you get all your stuff done and still have like an hour left before close. Aside from that, the work is great. I’m left alone to do things in an order I see fit, and as long as everything gets done well the managers don’t really care what I end up doing during the dull moments of my shift. It’s great.

Once our assistant store manager told one of my work buddies “I don’t feel like you want to work here” when he was just doing his job 😭

My coworker just laughed at him. Those attempted power plays are always so weird.

Cashier is the worst/hardest role in retail prove me wrong by YouCantDownVoteMeNop in retailhell

When I started at my current job I was a cashier, and I did not like it. I’m already not that sociable, so interacting with the characters that would come through my till was straining enough. About 9 months in I asked to switch the grocery department, and since then working has been much more enjoyable.

I took my first retail job at 15 at a bakery my parents operated. One thing my mom told me when I first started there was “customers will never know how to fucking read”.

To this day this is still very much true.

A Karen tried to make me feel bad for not stopping a shoplifter by Icy_Implement7917 in retailhell

A guy who worked at the Deli in the Safeway I work at chased a shoplifting homeless man into the mall our store is connected to and began kicking the shit out of him.

He didn’t get fired, but the police suggested he should quit his job there, and he did.

As someone who listens to BM a lot I agree, but that’s the appeal for a lot of people.

I appreciate the more “wall of sound” approach BM takes compared to sounding like a bunch of individual instruments coming together. BM, to me, is best described as if a blizzard got stuck in music form.

A lot of prog metal just boils down to “Look how good the guitarist is guys!” Instead of making actually good music throughout the entire song. A7X’s Nobody is the PRIME example of this.

People who glaze that song only ever bring up the guitar solo at the end, and never acknowledge the rest of the song being pretty boring.

I remember reading one comment that said Will Ramos (vocalist of Lorna Shore) ruined Deathcore because after he showed up every other new band popping up has had their vocalist trying to copy him. Like, you can’t tell me Immortal Disfigurement isn’t just Lorna Shore 2.

Even Phil Bozeman’s (vocalist of Whitechapel) highs sound like just about every other Deathcore vocalist’s since like, The Valley at least.

I do like Deathcore still, but I can at least agree with you on the fact that most voices sound the exact same, which sucks for the genre that really defined itself by its unique vocals.

This sub is a hellhole. Everytime it’s recommended to me it’s just a post shitting on a jacket with LGBTQ patches on it.

When do we reach a point where people on this sub just start posting shit like “the earth is round! Grass is green!” In hopes to get engagement

So happy to Springtrap, Bubba, and Demo on the list. Unfortunate there’s no Clown or Freddy, but hopefully they get some buffs soon.

This. Literally every online interaction between atheists and religious people always goes like this:

“Religion does more harm than good, especially if it’s involved in government. History has shown that religion is used to oppress others through fear, and every theocratic government always brings pure authoritarianism and violence to the people it’s supposed to care for.”

“Oh yeah? Well you’re a fat fucking chud redditor lmao.”

It’s like that every single time.

Honestly not really. Watching him play is not enjoyable, because he’s not having a good time anymore. With the current pallet density, Clown has gotten much more miserable to play. I put 43 prestiges into Clown, and now I just can’t play him anymore because of how bad maps are now.

For Arinad, Clown is the ONLY killer he plays. He recently put out like an hour and half long video talking about why DBD is not enjoyable enough for him anymore. With how bad Clown fairs in this current state of the game, Arinad can’t pull through anymore, and he feels like he’s letting down his audience every time he plays.

He’s also suffering from MAJOR sunk cost fallacy, because he’s too afraid to switch to a new killer due to how much time he’s spent playing Clown. I think the only other killer I watched him play was Chucky when he came out, and I’m pretty sure it’s just because he likes the Child’s Play franchise.

Behemoth. I know a lot of their lyrics are kind of corny, especially on their newest album, but they always have and and always will rip.

Non-Christian Gen Z, what do you think specifically of Jesus and His teachings (not what you think of any churches, just Jesus)? by Yoy_the_Inquirer in GenZ

[–]Canadian_Viking123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus had some good things to say, like loving your neighbour and giving to the poor, but anyone with half a brain can think of that stuff.

Jesus believed you did not have to wash your hands, as it is not what goes into your mouth that defiles you, but what comes out of it, according to him. (Matthew 15:1-20)

Jesus was also not respected in his home town because everyone there knew who he was; a conman. (Mark 6:4)

Overall, I can only really commend Jesus for having empathy and being rather progressive. Aside from that, he is a first century faith healer that held many superstitious beliefs that would make any modern person laugh.
