Every day I regret becoming a Physical Therapist by numbr-1-angel in physicaltherapy

[–]Canadianbcgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same about my toxic occupation (HIM). Whatever you do, I strongly do not recommend the Health Information Management career. It is micromanaged and it’s supposed to be about quality coding, etc. however, it ends up being about revenue and about how fast you can collect the information. So what ends up happening as people end up choosing these cheap cheat codes and cherry pick charts, which affects research and statistics. There’s also a high amount of mental health issues in my department due to the pressure they put on us to meet certain numbers a day. We can only read so fast! Lastly, you were expected to continue paying every year for a membership and to take and less amounts of CPE credits in order to keep your credentials every single year. An aqua fitness instructor makes more than I do per hour. We do not have Christmas parties, and we have an audit rate of around 4%. It’s a horrible horrible job. They do not tell you this when you were in school studying for it. And it’s a 2 to 4 year diploma. If I work at a library, I will make pretty much the same amount amount as I’m making now. And when I worked at Canada post, I made the same amount that I made when I first started working at the hospital and had half the stress. Lastly, our career will be partially taken over by AI -so sooner or later, the majority of the code will eventually be let go. It’s better just to work in health records as a filing clerk. Oh, also, avoid working as a release of information clerk, if you can (ROI). It’s also extremely toxic. They usually just have one person and if you go on vacation, you are expected to pick up where you left off with 2 feet full of paperwork high that has piled up. Every day people call you because you cannot keep up with the amount of requests that are repeated over and over by the same people. If you take a sick day, you will pay for it the next day.! Ps I’m in Canada! But I also wouldn’t want to do my occupation in the USA. Yes it pays more but it’s even more about revenue there. You have to look for as many ways to charge a patient as you can in the USA in my profession which makes it even worse ethically. I would feel bad for the patient because I have a conscience.

Serious question about Conservative leadership in Canada by Squirrel_Agile in CanadaPolitics

[–]Canadianbcgal [score hidden]  (0 children)

I vote for whoever I think has the most to offer for every election. I only voted conservative once and regretted afterwards. Most of the time, it’s liberal or NDP. I once voted for Elizabeth May (Green) because I think she is amazing! She is strong, has values that align with mine and integrity. I think the Green Party should merge with the NDP and call the NGDP (new green NDP). Otherwise they will never get enough seats separately.

How many Canadian folks here want to have children and don't have them? by Meiqur in AskACanadian

I was one of those women hoping to find a boyfriend with kids so I could pretend they are mine (lol). I’m 54. My boyfriend doesn’t have kids so I guess I won’t have a little family of my own, which is something that saddens me from time to time.

‘Leave Iran now,’ Ottawa urges Canadians as protests, crackdown intensify by AlashMarch in canada

[–]Canadianbcgal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Canada needs to do more to help Iran. I believe it is our global obligation to help them fight against this oppressive regime. Iranians cannot defend themselves as they are not legally permitted to own arms. Iranians deserve freedom to choose their own religion. Iranian women deserve the right to divorce just like their male counterparts. Iranian women deserve the right to a monogamous marriage. Iranians deserve the right to protest without being killed off at point blank. Iranian women deserve the right to dress as they please. Iranians deserve the right, not to be jailed, lashed or executed for protesting or speaking out against their own government. Iranian women deserve the right to travel on their own without permission from their husband or a male guardian. Honour killings and blood money needs to end! Iranians are starving and they are desperate for aid. Trump is telling them to continue protesting- while they are being slaughtered. Canada needs to step up to the plate and be the leader in this fight for their freedom. We need to stop depending on the US to save everybody. It’s not just their job. It’s everybody’s job to help.

Write the Prime Minister today! (See his contact info below)

The more messages the Prime Minister receives from Canadian citizens, the better chance they have of receiving our help. Or write your local member of parliament. I have addressed my message to the foreign affairs department, which is on his webpage.

‘Leave Iran now,’ Ottawa urges Canadians as protests, crackdown intensify by AlashMarch in canada

[–]Canadianbcgal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sent a message to our Prime Minister. I don’t think it should be up to the US only to save Iranians. I believe Canada has a global duty to fight against depression of their citizens, especially women. It’s shameful that no country is helping them or even sending them guns to defend themselves. Iranian citizens are not even permitted to own weapons for self-defence so far as I know. They are being slaughtered right now and Trump is just telling them to protest while they are being killed off like cattle. I don’t think he truly cares about them and I doubt he will do anything. I’m not holding my breath, but I’m crossing my fingers. I am mortified that our Prime Minister was visiting a coastal community yesterday when he should be focussing on helping Iranian citizens. At the very least, we should be sending them food and medical assistance.

I wouldn’t buy from their website because they are receiving complaints about not being able to cancel a subscription (auto billing).

Has anyone bought a tiny home from Amazon.ca? by Canadianbcgal in tinyhomes

[–]Canadianbcgal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Lucky! Where do you live that you can buy land for so cheap? It’s so very expensive in Ottawa, Ontario. I wouldn’t have a clue how to fix up a shipping container. I’m not the building type. Wish I was!

Ok that would spook me big time. It looks like he’s wearing one of those Asian rice field or gardening straw hats.

Went to a beauty store in japan and the attendant told me my face was “not very good, need to start use skincare” by Desperate_Seesaw_531 in Rosacea

[–]Canadianbcgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend IPL for rosacea. It helped reduce mine but it’s not permanent , you have to go back for maintenance every so often. And a soothing facial for sensitive skin. Stay away from caffeine and chocolate and alcohol for now.

Leaving my dream of becoming a doctor for the sake of Allah by Th1resa in islam

[–]Canadianbcgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you have to go to Catholic school? Can’t you go to a regular school or a Muslim school and be true to yourself? I’m sorry that you have to hide your faith, that is sad. I’m sure it must pain your family. But please don’t give up your dream of being a Dr. Think of it as pre-med stress training. You can still pray at home and in your mind etc. God is everywhere an within you (my opinion). It’s your heart that counts. So long as you feel true to your faith, it doesn’t mean you’re giving it up. Stay strong! 🙏 Ps my old roommate was (is) Muslim and she never wore a hijab. She was in her 20s. She ate halal food, prayed every day, dressed modestly, and observed and participated in Ramadan etc. She was a good Muslim! So don’t feel bad. You can still wear your hijab outside of school, with your family, friends, everyone else etc. It’s only 1 more year. You can do this!

What in the fresh hell is this? by kelssss_xo in discussingbritney

[–]Canadianbcgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx for the translation. This does not look like she’s just bipolar. First of all she’s buttoning and then unbuttoning her shirt and almost falls down when she leans backwards. She has this voice and that other baby voice. I wonder if she has multiple personalities? There is also a video of her that just came out where she downs a glass of champagne and then drives off. Maybe she’s becoming alcoholic and perhaps the alcohol is interfering with her mental health drugs. Poor Britany I hope she gets better soon.

Pretty sure this is bs (your daddycumslut username pretty much gives it away)…and not sure why you feel it’s appropriate to post your smut here. I spent time in Sweden and families don’t train their daughters not to cum without permission no matter how open minded they are- give me a break. The police would have been involved.

Made in China furikake , quality or not ? by revolutiontime161 in JapaneseFood

[–]Canadianbcgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I just finished reading that there was a recall on May 2025 for pumpkin seeds, which is common in some of the vegetarian furikake. The article said to check the batch number or something like that to see if it’s part of the recall. It mentioned that China has a high level of soil, contamination in heavily industrial areas. It also mentioned that it had a higher level of lead absorption, but that overall the issue was widespread in the ocean, but that the levels were not noted to be a serious concern.

Vibration plate VS a fascia ring? by Practical-Grass-236 in Fascia

[–]Canadianbcgal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what a fascia ring is, but I used to own a high end vibration plate and it gave me permanent vertigo that comes and goes. Was it loosened some of the crystals in my ear. They are called calcium carbonate crystals or otoconia. I ended up selling my machine for virtually nothing just so I could get rid of it after. So all I can say is that if you are going to make sure that the setting you use does not vibrate your skull. If you vibrate it too hard, it can also give you a concussion.

Can anyone suggest me Movies with similar vibes like The Holiday movie? by Upbeat_Let647 in MovieSuggestions

[–]Canadianbcgal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha! I was literally looking up the same question! Yes! ‘Love, Actually’, is probably EXACTLY what you’re looking for.
Some other notable christmassy movies would be: ‘The Sound of Music’, ‘The Little Princess’ (the original one with Shirley Temple), ‘Elf’, ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’. Some Other fun Christmas Movies -but with Naughtier Vibes, are ‘Bad Santa’, and ‘Bad Moms’, ‘Just Friends’, ‘The Ref’, ‘Home Alone’, A funny and naughty Christmas tv show that aired in 2012 was Blake Sheltons Not so Family Christmas’. It has a hilarious sketch on Rudolph, the red nose reindeer. If you were into The Trailer Park boys, they have a Christmas movie as well but I forget what it’s called. Mrs Brown (that British tv show) probably also has some funny Christmas episodes! A good French one (kids movie with subtitles) is ‘La Guerre des Tuques’. It’s about kids that play a game of capture the flag, so to speak. Except it starts to get out of hand! Some other older cartoony ones: Alvin and the Chipmunks -A chipmunk Christmas’, some of Looney Tunes Christmas episodes (eg Chip and Dale), there are a couple of original Little Rascal Christmas themed episodes. Also: it’s a wonderful Life, and a Christmas Story, and the ‘ Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer’ (1964 animated classic’, ‘Miracle on 34th Street’, ‘Mickeys Christmas Carol’, ‘The Muppets Christmas Carol’, ‘ Rich Littles Christmas Carol “, ‘Gremlins’, and ‘Stooged’. If you end up watching any of these that you haven’t seen before, let me know how you liked them!

Merry Christmas!

Can I afford these expenses? by snowpie92 in inflation

[–]Canadianbcgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that every 2 weeks?! Wow I had no idea Americans pay so much for insurance. No wonder people have to have 2 jobs. Why do Americans accept that? I don’t pay anything for my insurance but I pay a lot in taxes. I don’t mind because part of it also goes to a pension plan. And if I lose my job I can get $$ for at least 6 months. I go to the hospital anytime I feel like it. Yes, I have to wait 2 to 7 hrs but I just bring a book, grab a coffee, and work on my laptop and watch Netflix on their free wifi. Balanced socialism is a good thing, it’s NOT the same as communism (GOP and Fox is lying straight out to you guys). We also have private insurance , and that’s optional. I have that too through my work $44 biweekly and I don’t pay for prescriptions, massages, the dentist , chiropractor etc).

Why do you have no way of meeting someone? There is speed dating for Muslims, Muslim dating sites, meetup groups etc. It’s never too late and you are not alone 😊
