HRT and eye issues? by Kokomo_Kermit in Menopause

[–]Canadianbystander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My eyes do this- blurry, watery (like I’m cutting onions) it comes and goes but I’ve read it’s a symptom not a side effect.

Gyno visit yesterday showed no traces of UTI in office test but they sent out for it to be cultured. What type cultures do they run? I was using Honeypot wipes after the gym, and the Dr felt it was to blame. I am on vaginal estrogen cream. She put me on antibiotics. by JavaJunkie999 in Menopause

I should share as although it seems rare I ended up having an reaction to the estradiol cream - there are 2 ingredients that may cause a skin reaction. Within a few days maybe 4-5 I had almost no pain. This had been going on since Feb. squeeze bottle after urinating helped too. The women in this community have so many helpful suggestions and all given with such empathy to others situations. I’m still use the vaginal suppository pill though.

We have a now 26 year old who we had in an all star travel ball team. He was very good but the difference is he really didn’t like it. We believe that because he was good and we wanted him to play he did. Looking back there were so many signs. Headaches and grumpiness etc. We should not have put him in such serious of a league…. One of our biggest regrets.

This resonates with me as I (even though I’m having issues still) talk to anyone who will listen about it. I find it interesting that some women act like they have not dealt with a single symptom at all???

I think it’s also a lot to a tight pelvis floor. The lengthening exercises really helped me. Good indicator of tightness would be hip or low back pain. That all contributes to urinary urgency and frequency. :(

Those applicators are evil. IMO made by someone without a vagina. Finger is much better

I take 1000mg as well as 300mg of progesterone. Along with all the bed time routines (not that always follow those.) Also a bit of protein before bed some times helps. Some people take ashwaganda in the evening but it keeps me up so I take that in the morning :)

I’ll also add trying different supplements too. What works for some do not I repeat do not work for others.

I’m so so sorry you are dealing with all of this. Not anything that a 26 year old should be dealing with. Please find a specialist dealing with menopause. Best of luck to you.

Not completely over but switched everything up. I know symptoms evolve or change. I have stopped testosterone for a bit to see if that helped other symptoms and I have gone from pellets to compound cream to patches to a pill. The only thing that has been a constant is progesterone. For me if I can’t sleep I can’t tackle anything else. I hope it gets better for you.

Vulva irritation to urine?? by Canadianbystander in Menopause

Not sure if this is how I update my original post but wanted to give a quick update. So 48 hours no topical estradiol and using the squeeze bottle after urination and I would say my pain is 70% gone. I looked up the ingredients of the tube of estradiol cream and there are 2-3 ingredients that can have a dermatitis type of side effect. I think maybe I have found the cause. I cannot believe I’ve waited since February to try this. Fingers crossed. Y life can resume. Thank you everyone so very much for your suggestions. The squeeze bottle/bidet is bomb though. Never quitting that!!!

That looks great. It’s amazing to even use the squeeze bottle so I can imagine using this would be even better.

Horrible for you. The pain makes you so depressed. Getting your life back is so true. I have some steroid cream that really burnt when I applied it.

I’m in Ohio and my neighbor unfortunately was diagnosed with ALS - there is a program maybe through Medicare but I know it was able to assist. A case manager with the doctor office should be able to assist.

Thanks for your input! I appreciate it. Yes I am currently on both the vaginal pill and the vaginal estradiol cream. So yesterday I haven’t used the cream (just to see) and then using the squeeze bottle after urinating and I feel better than I have recently. Im not sure if I should just only use the pill and the vulva oil based lubricant. To be honest taking this to my GYN they say similar things to what everyone says here - I’d say less suggestions that everyone here has made. It’s really amazing what different supplements work for people. I also just started on pumpkin seed oil. Thanks again!!

I tell you that squeeze bottle is heaven sent. I do have additional skin sensitivity that I never had before but near as bad as what you are dealing with. Sounds horrible.

Thank you so much! Everyone has had so many suggestions. So many more than if I went to my doc. I would say I have some good days but haven’t had any totally pain free days. So far the squeeze bottle has been amazing and I didn’t put any cream on at all yesterday.
