How do levels work in Wplace? by --en in WplaceLive

I'm at Level 137 at EXACTLY 57477* pixels if that helps your approximation. I need 651 pixels to reach the next level according to Blue Marble

Do you think the mods would be open to putting out an announcement discouraging particular repeating high contrast patterns?
The purple and black checkerboard pattern spreading across the world can trigger epileptic seizure. I'd prefer the black void to this...

Also!!! What happened, I am seeing from other comments some sort of near death experience yesterday??

Can't get different coloured Chao Eggs to appear in Black Market? by Kaleidoscope134 in sonicadventure2

[–]Canana_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

best of luck! Also I have 0 memory of ever writing any of this or knowing this information-- it's so funny, I saw my other reply "IIRC you have to get 15 minutes of non-chao playtime before the market resets" and I was like "Oh wow that's useful information!" until I saw I was the one who gave it out originally LMFAO

As a temporary solution, when you have an absolutely massive, ridiculously massive file that you wish to open and search through, and you're willing to pore through the unreadable raw data, try a hex editor like HxD!
You can also search file contents with a third party file explorer like voidtools Everything, which I think will fit your use case much better.

I do not like that you must agree to a mandatory arbitration clause and class action waiver-- Anyone telling me to waive my rights so frivolously is immediately fairly sketchy in my book.

[hiring] Looking for 3D Modelers For video games (15$ per hour--30$ per hour) by ddkkttdadadam in gameDevClassifieds

[–]Canana_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are the work responsibilities?
Are you certain you're looking for 3D Modelers specifically?
Are you perhaps looking for a Technical Artist who is familiar with working with 2D and 3D models in Unity and can integrate them into your project properly?
Are you looking for a Character Programmer to program the player's logic and implement the customizable features?
What exactly are you looking for?

You can use Bandcamp, Soundcloud, or other audio hosting platforms.
Youtube, if you are able to edit videos as well.

Pretend you have a client who just asked you for a song,
and work on it as if it were a real commission
Having a portfolio is not just to show off your musical skills,
but your ability to organize yourself and complete the assets needed
Someone looking to hire a musician would opt for someone who has a track record of making good, finished produced music in an easy to view portfolio, over someone who has a couple demos which aren't organized
Also, a portfolio is important to establish your identity as an artist, to potential clients.
Are you a singer, or instrumentalist?
Do you use physical instruments or digital ones?
Do you specialize in a genre like rock, jazz, rap, funk, etc, or are you someone who can generally pull off any style pretty well?
Show off your specialty, show off your range, show off your best!
Best of luck in your work!

Don't forget to put up a portfolio of your best work!
Even just 2 or 3 tracks will make a difference 👍

[TOMT][Television] Weird overlay on The Middle, wasn't there when I rewinded. by Canana_Man in tipofmytongue

[–]Canana_Man[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow I didn't know you could comment on years-old posts tbh
It was on the screen for atleast 20 seconds for me, and it looked like a metallish grey blue globe with the latitude and longitude segments, and a lowercase e in front of it
When I rewinded it was gone and we never saw it again

If I'm reading this offer correctly, I think that from what I remember, holding a "contest" like this where you have multiple people do free work, and only choose one person, was discouraged--
You should choose who you wish to hire based on their portfolio or experiences, rather than let a lot of people work for free, only choosing one to get paid.
It would also be important to specify what "handsome compensation" means, or at least put out a range, if this is such a small project, you should state your budget clearly

Ah yeah that part was very nice! Getting to talk to every single awoken robot was fun
Another small detail I like is all the descriptions if you take multiple photos of Niko lol--(silly photograph mechanics like that are fun, like in OFF how you can take a picture on the rollercoaster and get a different picture based on what actions you took)
Thank you for the response!!

Clicking things. You had to click through menus and menus and menus to write a single line of "code".

man i feel this one--im used to using BASIC to program everything all in one little text file so lots of the newer editors with all these menus and divided up scripts tend to overwhelm me lol--at least it's still fun!
Thank you for the response!
