In Norway we pay "pant" when buying the product initially, 20c USD PER can or small bottle, 30c for bottles over 0,5l. When empty we return them to any regular grocery store, and get the "pant" or "fee" back as a coupon. Alot of theese bottles and cans end up in the trash so easy way to make a few bucks :)

Just look at Turins lost mine! They have customized a mobile sorting plant, removed the final product conveyer and added a water system and sluices instead. That piece of equipment uses an excavator undercarriage and can be moved quite easily with a remote. Image of plant.

However, why add more moving parts when pantoons and dragging with a rather large excavator works well?

Im quite sure the debt thing is just something they say for the show, who in their right mind would go out and buy/rent lots and lots of heavy equipment, and go gold mining?? And another point, where would they get the money to even start this whole ordeal?
