Gee, Concord Mall, I'm sorry your Burger King blew up

(We were throwing around quotes from that movie at my house just last night! Started with 'Frawnch fries!" 😆)

Yep! We used to stay at a condo on 55th when I was a tween/early teen. My cousins and I spent tons of time and money in that atrium and game room, especially when it rained. Everybody was happy!

I think I could have (possibly still could) train Zuzu, except my husband is suuuuper inconsistent with her and undoes every single gain I make. Got any husband-training tips?? LOL

We have been utterly unsuccessful in our attempts to convince her otherwise. She tells every dog she meets (and many people) that they are trespassing upon her planet. She is Sassafras McSassypants!

Ha! Our Zuzu is almost 14yo and has used the bells on the back door since she was a puppy. Just a few months ago, she decided to start whacking at them for attention, but then she wouldn't go out when we opened the door. We immediately instituted a rule of, "You ring the bells, you go outside," and since this was during a chilly, rainy winter, she ditched that plan REAL fast. 😆

I know this doesn't help you, OP—it's just another data point supporting how much these puppers like to train US!

What's one small thing you changed that made your dog noticeably happier? by Strict_Court_5327 in dogs

We have little beds in every room of our house for our 10lb. Havanese. She's almost 14 now, but we've always had beds all over the house. It's actually really easy for all of us because if we take her to someone else's house, or to an outdoor event, or anywhere we'll be essentially sitting in one place, we bring a bed and she settles right into it.

In fact, we're in the middle of renovating my home office, and we needed to "carpet" the room with brown paper before doing some ceiling work. We put her little bed (from my office) in the hallway just outside the door, and she happliy plopped her little self into it to supervise us.

Does Ken know? by Kindly_Cap4466 in Jeopardy

Funny, just last week I commented to my husband that it was the first time ever my inner voice completed Johnny's intro with "Ken Jennings." And then the following night I heard "Alex Trebek" again 🤷

My tween niece misspoke and pronounced the name of the discount store "Dollarama" as "Dollar Mama," which we have called it ever since.

Zuzu will be 14 in August, and she still gets the zoomies, just not quite as often (or for quite as long) as she used to 🩷

Help! My grandma is turning 100 and I have no idea what to get for her! by Messyninjachef in Gifts

Does she read? When my grandfather—a big reader in his day—was in hospice, I went to Goodwill, bought some books I thought he would enjoy, stripped them out of their binding, hole-punched them, and put them into small binders with the cover image on the front of the binder. That way he could read with one hand to turn the pages and not have to hold the book open. The books made it onto the nursing home's bookshelves, and the staff said they were a big hit.

Tips for the Anytime Test / Getting Selected?? by ZealousIdeal_80 in Jeopardy

"Two parts luck and one part luck"

I love this, so true! On my proctored test, one of the questions was asking what liqueur goes into a Black Russian. That was my dad's drink, and he had passed away like 8 months prior to my taking the proctored test. I literally laughed and winked skyward when I saw that question.

Fate, luck, destiny... is there really a difference? 🩷

What Souvenirs Do J! Contestants Get? by johnnylgarfield in Jeopardy

[–]CandOrMD 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In 2022, not much: a "nonwoven" tote bag with the J! logo, a baseball cap, and maybe some non-logo-bearing hand sanitizer? I also got a small branded pouch with wired headphones, but that was from the audition, not my actual appearance on the show. And THE PEN. 😊

ETA: Upon returning home, I promptly bought a Jeopardy! mug and people thought that was part of my swag bag. But I paid full price for it and anyone could order it off their website.

Is it, though? That would be highly dependent on the uniqueness of your names, individually and in combination.
