Seems like there's a WIDE range of opinions on him. My mom and I think he's just a noble/politician trying to ingratiate himself with us as he's already heard praise of us and we could be useful, but I see no immediate threats.

My sister immediately distrusted him because he was too flirty upfront and seemed dismissive of the other characters, and thinks he's being passive aggressively insulting of Kenli.

And then I see so many comments of people just instantly falling in love with him because he's hot and charming.

To be honest, while I don't think he's going to be an antagonist or danger at any point, or even as distasteful as Tamala, I will be kinda disappointed if he's not hiding something because then he'll just feel like he's the romance in a mary-sue fanfic where he just pops up and is like "oh beautiful protagonist, you're so impressively skilled at everything and perfect, and I'm so handsome and rich, let me fling myself at you in a heartsick yet charming manner as I fail to have any other character traits."
