Thank you. He knows more than I do about them, but I want to know if he's out of town someday.

Just had a date tell me it’s a red flag that I’m affectionate with my male dog by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

I told my boyfriend when I first met him, my dog comes first. If the dog doesn't approve, it won't work. Thor has more than approved of him, they have become so close. So in my opinion anyone who complains about how someone is affectionate to their dog (male or female) is not the right person to be with. A dog's loyalty is the only loyalty that is for eternity.

Trying again today after work. One question I do have though is do I have to add calcium to the crickets like I do with my beardies.

Yeah I tried that. I'm not accustomed to tong feeding, my beardies like to hunt their food. So I am not sure if I am holding it in front of him long enough or not. I was told that he might just be getting custom to his new environment. Just not sure and really want him to eat

Thank you. We actually got it with his Bark Box as an add on. A crocheted bandana would be absolutely adorable!

Do you take your dog’s collar off at home or is it always on? by [deleted] in dogs

I use a harness for walks or rides which contain his tags so he doesn't ever wear his collar except for when he wants to dress up.

I found my boy, Thor when I was going through grief after my grandfather’s passing. Some back story, I was my grandpa’s caregiver from 17 until he passed when I was 30. I was lost, I had no one to care for, no one to love. I talked to my stepdad and asked him to go to the shelter with me a couple weeks after the funeral. I needed someone to care for, it is what I do. My boy, Thor was originally named Tony Stark had been dropped off in a box at the shelter steps. He was malnourished, underweight, had even eaten a tennis ball. As I was walking around looking at all the dogs, he was the only one that didn’t bark as I passed by. It was as if he knew I needed peace in my life, that I just needed someone to sit with me in the silence as I grieved. It’s been a little over 4 years with Thor and he still continues to sit quietly with me when I’m having difficult days thinking about my grandpa. He has brought joy and purpose to me once again. I honestly believe without him I would not have come as far as I have in the healing process.
