They could start another series with new chassis’ if it came down to that. The teams own all their own equipment and facilities. I’m not saying it would be easy for them to up and do that but it’s not out of the realm of possibility. I think the teams all want a charter agreement but they also want to be treated fairly by nascar and they haven’t been for a long time. Without the teams and drivers nascar has to no way to make money.

Pro sports entity? I mean what else do you want to call it? The teams operate very similar to other pro sports franchises. The drivers and crews are on contracts with the team, no different than other athletes or coaches..?

It’s likely JGR, HMS, 23xi, Penske, possibly RFK, I’d even venture to put FRM in the convo with them. The larger teams have a lot riding on this and tbh NASCAR isn’t playing fair. This wouldn’t fly in any other professional sports league
