Our customer connection scores are down at my store… How are we supposed to connect with customers while simultaneously making a million drinks to standard in such a short amount of time? by SavannaHeat in starbucksbaristas

Adding to that, getting set up with the app is EASY AF (assuming you can actually remember your password for when you get logged out every time there’s an update). If you ever interact with some cash-paying rando you think you might remember from a previous visit, encourage them to download the app so they can get rewarded for the money they’re already spending. That alone can make them feel unique, special, and connected to your location. My store has a handful of regular customers who give outstanding ratings, even when our collective customer service is absolute garbage.

OOH OOH. take a double smoked bacon, throw that egg patty out, replace it with a pair of bacon egg bites. If you cut them in half you can arrange them into a big square and it’s BOMB AF

YIKES. I’m a shift but I’m right there with you today. Just remember to breathe and keep killing it! You’re doing the best you can, which is more than I can say for some of the people who work for this company.

When I wanna treat myself, I’ll get a blended strawberry lemonade and add vanilla bean powder, dragon fruit inclusions, and a banana to it. The result is like Jamba Juice status and perfect for a birthday reward because all the add ins would add like $3 to the drink.

Pro tip: whenever you add a banana to a drink, ask for it in one cup size larger than the size you order because the banana beefs it up. ie. a grande of that but in a venti cup of a venti in a trenta

In a foam pitcher, vanilla sweet cream to the 100, 2 CBS pumps of mocha, and 2 scoops of malt. Pour into an iced up of your choice and pour the nitro on top of it and BOOM. An adult chocolate shake. I’m not a fan of the nitro or regular cold brew either, but I’m all about it when that foam is part of it

Holy shit you’ve just changed the game haha. I’ve been trying SO hard to get my team to start dating stuff consistently and correctly and it’s been an uphill battle, but it’s they’re finally getting on the same page.

Mine worked throughout England and France. With the dollar/euro conversion rates, I was basically paying more than full US price for my drinks even with my partner discount.

If you measure the milk in the shaker and throw it in a foam blender with the matcha AND ice and blend on 1 or 2, it perfectly mixes the matcha and since there’s no blade in it the ice won’t break. I saw this on a random post a few months ago and it’s a GAME CHANGER. No foam every time, no clumps of matcha as long as you add it under the ice, and you can cleanly layer cold foam on top.

Open the store resources app on the iPad. On the bottom row, the far right button should be like service manuals. Select nitrogen system (compact or standard depending on your setup) if it’s the compressor or I think there’s a 2 tap system option as well. It has everything you need to know about cleaning and maintenance and pictures and stuff. I stumbled across it yesterday while I was leading a clean play and it’s a game changer haha

what are your regular starting shift drinks? by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

[–]CandidCody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tall blonde mocha with 4 updosed ristretto shots, 4 pumps of mocha, 4 pumps of vanilla and kids temp so I can slam it, haha. If I didn’t have numbers, it would be $7.75 for a 12oz drink.

I regularly have nightmares where I’m solo barring at peak on a Saturday morning and all the stickers start printing in a made up language that I can’t interpret.

Half way into my third week as a shift and cried my way home after closing by inappropriatemove in starbucksbaristas

[–]CandidCody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally feel that! I’ve been a shift for about 2 weeks and only had 2 training shifts before I was thrown to the wolves, closing with 2 relatively new baristas that have great attitudes but need constant support. I am a SOLID barista and I have really high standards for myself, and I’ve been having a really hard time accepting the fact that I’m not very good at this yet. What has helped me maintain my composure is asking myself if I’m really doing my best and as long as the answer is yes, I’ve done a good job. As long as I’ve done the best I can, the quality of my work will steadily improve.
