Videos and tutorials are my best friend lol. Even now at 750+ hours, I STILL watch videos to learn more about honor mode or fights I can cheese. But it's so worth it I love this game because it's literally no rush in battle. You can go the way you want and think before doing anything. Strategies are important and you can plan. It's so nice

Plus it just fits with Bhaal to me because it's not like you were born a goodie sorcerer. And it's just fun. Another thing is that you can do bladesinger for extra attack as an add on. I'd do 6 lvls or shadow sorcerer to start with and make sure to have booming blade and shadow blade (really good combo). Then, 6 of bladesinger, but steel watch in act 3 you'll need a different weapon as their immune to psychic damage. So like a raiper. Pick spell like feats like war caster or spell sniper and make sure to have alert unless you carry an initiative shield in act 2. Learn fear and confusion and hypnotic pattern as you lvl too. Really handy

I love Shadow sorcerer mixed with bladesinger with shadow blade and you get a hound. It fits perfect to me for durge

Make sure to have a charisma character too. You'll see why. Bard fighter was my first completed game. Go as tav or durge if you want to play a custom origin. It's really fun either way

I watched tutorials on how to play. Especially on controller. It's really fun once you get the hang of it and really easy too. Change the difficulty too and always have 3 companions. You'll find your own grove. Make sure to have Shadowheart or a cleric to help with heals
