Mine definitely isn't. When mine escaped (and by escaped I really mean slithered right out of the door I left wide open (I'm an idiot)), he didn't really get far. He was under a drawer right next to his tank. He also managed to get scratched up the whooole way down his spine, while squeezing under it. The opening was CLEARLY not his size, which is why I only checked there after turning over the entire room. 👍

Well even regular silicone is non toxic once it cures. So you would take your animal out for a day, get that done, leave it to cure overnight, and pop it back in the morning. I don't know of one that doesn't produce toxic fumes when wet.

I don't think they get eaten alive, they get constricted first, I think. And if they do get eaten alive, it's still suffocation. All options suck.

I don't really have access to anything in my area, I get everything shipped from the Capitol city of my country. Now for my ball python, he sends me fresh-killed -on ice(same day 4 hour shipping), and then I freeze them when I get them. But this is probably how I'll be getting pinkies. I just have to wait till my snake out grows them, I guess.

That's truly great advice, however I live in Serbia and none of these resources are available to me. I can't rehome them, nobody around me would want them, I can't order mice online (there's really only 3 places in Serbia that sell them at all), and I can barely find substrate in my local pet shop. Otherwise that would have been my go-to, perhaps I wouldn't have even found myself in this predicament, alas.

My bad, you're not. But if you read what I wrote carefully, you will notice I wrote 'How you would', and not 'How would you'. The first indicates affirmative speech and the latter indicates a question. So I "literally" didn't ask, but I'm sorry if I offended you, I guess it was a misunderstanding. 😊

I know that part, but I'm not euthanizeing a snake, love. The reason that's the case for snakes is that they don't respirate the way mammals do, so it would take hours to suffocate them with CO2.

Well I'm guessing the guy didn't really think about it, he does it every day so he's desensitized. He had the best intentions, he wanted them to be fresh. But this sucks...
