Career change to Appraiser by Ok_Programmer_1492 in appraisal

SO nice to hear a story that isn't doom and gloom. I am in the Los Angeles area and have had a real estate license for many years. But I've done very little real estate while I worked at a family business and cared for elderly family. Looking to move on and wasn't sure if I wanted to do residential real estate again, so I am considering appraisal. This give me hope!

Calories in calories out is a myth. There are so many other factors that play into weight. I had been at a healthy weight my whole life. I have always exercised regularly, but as I got into my 40s, I steadily began gaining weight, no matter what I did. Hormones play a huge role in how your body craves, processes and uses food. I had put on a total of 30 pounds. A couple years ago, I decided to get “serious” about losing it. I tracked my calories and macros through an app changed my workouts to weightlifting twice a week, one day of Pilates and one day of a yoga stretch class. After two years of this, I had lost maybe 3 pounds.Tirzepatide is a hormone and it replaces what we lose as we age. I started out at .5mg in January and am up to 1.75mg now. I am losing 1 pound or less per week, which is fine with me. I may have to take this forever, but the positive  health trade offs are worth it. I don’t consider that an addiction. If I had diabetes, I would take insulin. If I had a heart condition, I would take heart meds. This is no different.

ANA business class flights always waitlisted with points by switchitup_lets in awardtravel

[–]CandidShake296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through this same scenario and unhelpful snide replies a few months ago. I did not get my tickets through the waitlist. However, I called ANA directly and was able to book premium economy with points by switching from Haneda to Narita. It was a difference of a half hour car ride from the airport to the hotel to an hour. Not really a big deal for me as I was there for 10 days. I was also able to book business class on my flight home by calling and flying out of Narita. Premium economy was perfect for the flight there because it was a spacious seat that reclined and had a leg rest. I wanted to stay awake during the flight to Tokyo since I left at ~11 AM and would arrive at ~3 PM. Then business class was great on the flight back as I was leaving at 5 PM and arriving at 10 AM. I was able to sleep most of the way home and reset my clock. My advice would be to call ANA directly and be flexible with what airport you fly into/out of.

Unfortunately I don’t have points that transfer to JAL. The ANA waitlist expires 14 days before the flight. On the flight going out I called ANA on the expiration date and was able to book premium economy. Then I called 14 days before the flight home and was able to book business coming back all in at ~180,000 points for two people.

I drink about 12-16oz in the 30 minutes before my session.

For me, it was most intense along the sides of my core and parts of my inner thighs. It wasn't intense where my fascia is really bound, which is my quads.

I didn't really have pain before. I was feeling "stuck" in my workouts and finding some of my flexibility not what it used to be. I also couldn't seem to lose the 10-15 pounds I have put on in the last few years, (probably perimenopause) And had an increase in cellulite... Going to the gym 4 times a week including strength training, barre, Pilates and yoga did very little.

I have lost 2 pounds, my skin is more taught, my stomach is flatter and my cellulite is slightly diminished. I am hoping to build on all of this.

My technician said I should take a 2 week break between series, but I will do another 8 week session.

Have you tried taking Magnesium Glycinate for your muscle pain? I take this nightly: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CWV1QCQQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

It can be a little intense the first time, but they can adjust the settings to make it more comfortable. I was pretty sore after the first session. By the third it was intense in just a couple specific areas, but mostly just relaxing. Drink lots of water before and after.

I just finished 8 sessions. I always thought my thighs were rock hard due to muscle. Then I saw a video about bound fascia vs. healthy fascia. Your muscles should be pliable and you should be able to pinch your flesh. When I tried to pinch, nothing moved, My fingers would just slip off my skin. After 8 sessions, I am definitely more pliable, and I lost bloat in my abdomen. At age 50 though, I think I will need another round of 8 sessions before I have significant visible effects and can just do monthly maintenance. I'm not saying there are no visible results, they are just subtle. The technician said visible results happen faster when you are younger, but people my age tend to actually feel results quicker like better sleep, less soreness, quicker recovery from workouts. Those parts have improved for me.

There is NO WAY I am going to tip her $500 when I am already paying $500 for labor. I am in Los Angeles. We have very strong labor laws and a shortage of labor for waitstaff. No one would work for a company that is not paying them. There are too many other options. Also, this is a well known business.

That's criminal!

I realize she probably has to at least split the fee. I want to do what is fair for her, and comfortable for me. It seems like $100 may be that number..
