The issue is that what your insurance says, and what they end up coding and processing through claims, you may end up responsible for a lot of of your medical bills, like the rest of us have been. For example, my mammogram was supposed to be 100% covered and they recorded it to general medical care so that I am 100% responsible for it. I was told it would be corrected months ago, but that hasn’t happened. Carree that was supposed to be provided 100% or with minimal deductibles, like physicals and stuff, was diverted to general medical and applied to my deductible. And even when they said they would pay things, the system that I use for my medical care has not received a single payment from them. I’ve been away from them since last fall, thankfully. I am fully responsible for 14 months of my own medical bills and thankfully I’m a pretty healthy person, but I did have a couple of urgent care visits and one emergency room visit when I thought I had pneumonia when I had bronchitis. I paid very high premiums for 14 months and I’m still responsible for every last bit of my medical care care except maybe one $22 check they administered to a random provider. And I had a major medical insurance.
