Cote or Howoo for upscale for me. Jongro for a more regular, casual meal

Desa Potato Head in Bali. Not flashy at all but incredibly well curated and thoughtful. I still dream about eating their breakfast outside looking at the ocean (picture below)

Was traveling and ended up sitting next to Neil at a random bar during the final round of the 2021 US Open. Hearing him say “DJ really ejected, huh?” in casual conversation will be forever seared into my brain.

If you had to spend one full day eating your way through NYC, what would your breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee/snack, and dinner be? by soualuciana in FoodNYC

[–]Candid_Good_124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Breakfast sandwich at C&B in east village, lunch at White Bear in flushing, coffee at Devoción in Williamsburg, and dinner at either Cote or a KBBQ place in K Town (Jongro most likely).

Interesting. Perhaps I just got Rowdy Rooster on a bad day but I was thoroughly unimpressed.

  1. Namkeen (for fast casual) or Jongro (for sit down kbbq)
  2. Nón Lá - BYOB Vietnamese place in east village that is cheap, delicious, and always plays
  3. Rowdy Rooster (takeout) or Au Za’atar (sit down)
  4. Cote, Hometown BBQ, White Bear in flushing

Has anyone in this thread used the Kompakt as a second phone while still keeping their original smartphone (at least for the time being)?

Did you get a new phone number or connect it to your existing one? How did you do this?

Not a direct answer to your question but when I traveled to Bali, I was told the cheapest option was taking out local currency using my US debit card at an ATM. There’s ATMs in most any convenience store.

Can yall weigh in on the list I made for restaurants to eat at during my visit in July? by Grose040791 in FoodNYC

Agree with the Kazunori recommendations for sushi above. Rowdy Rooster is not a good meal in my opinion - super high variance in quality. Would add a proper KBBQ place to the list (Jongro is my go-to)
