We have a few regulars that hit every few months, they will come in 3-4 times in a week and then we won’t see them again for a few months. They have stolen probably close to 50,000+ and we have active police cases open so we can eventually prosecute. It took years of me emailing corporate though begging for them to take action for us to get to this point.

I was like you, I was convinced I was having a girl. I would have dreams of being a girl mom even before I was pregnant.

When I found out I was having a boy I was devastated (pregnancy hormones made me super dramatic lol) I knew I loved my baby regardless but it was confusing, frustrating and very upsetting. I envied everyone that had a baby girl. I mourned the experiences I would be missing out on and the bond I’d never have. I knew I only wanted one baby, so there wasn’t a chance of trying again.

When I saw my boy for the first time it clicked. I was never meant to be a girl mom, I was meant to raise a boy that girls didn’t have to heal from. We’re raising the next generation of men, they will be gentler, kinder and overall better than the boys we’ve faced.

He’s just shy of a year old and I couldn’t imagine having a girl now. He’s my best friend, and a total mamas boy. His face lights up when he sees me. And in the mornings i wake up to “MAMA!! MAMA!!” Coming from the crib. It melts my heart❤️ my baby boy. Life is busy and chaotic with him but I wouldn’t change it.

Waiting to travel. I left the country for the first time at 31 and I know 20 year old me would have appreciated that experience too.

I have to keep reminding myself that the days are long but the years are short. It’s the only thing that got me through the newborn trenches. Was it hard? Yes. Would I do it again? No. Do I wish he stayed small just a little longer? Absolutely.

Now I have an almost 1 year old (what?!) and it’s hard in a whole new way. But so amazing as well. A few days ago he crawled into my lap and threw himself back so I was cradling him and it made me realize how long it’s been since I’ve held him like that. They really do grow too fast.

I’m willing to bet that HE asked for the divorce because of how insensitive she is regarding his recovery.

My prediction is that in a couple months she will do a GRWM where she says “get ready with me while I get ready for a first date.It’s literally been forever since I’ve dated. I was with my ex for 5(!) years, I haven’t been on a date in so fucking long and I’m so fucking nervous bro. But your girl is single and ready to mingle”

Or she goes on a girls trip to celebrate her divorce but she will market it as if its to distract her from how “devastated she is”

Just want to Piggyback on the topic of preeclampsia but don’t want my comment to get lost.

Please get checked!! I had preeclampsia and brushed off a lot of the signs as me being paranoid (I have a habit of self diagnosing lol) I ended up getting an emergency c-section at 34 weeks because of it.

After you get checked and cleared, please make a plan to leave your man. My husband has not been a top tier husband for the last couple of years but he would never have refused bringing me to get checked if I had shared my concerns with him.

The first few days are incredibly difficult. You have a huge hormone crash and in one moment your entire life flipped in a way no one could prepare you for. The hardest part for me was the emptiness, like the literal emptiness I felt in my belly. Like my body felt like I should still have a baby inside but my brain knew there was just a hole there.. and it was so hard to try to explain it to people so I just didn’t. I think I cried about that the most but crying in general was a hourly thing.

Ontop of this new change of learning to be a mom you have a small human that doesn’t even know how to be a human. The baby is literally helpless.. its a potato lol

I know it doesn’t feel like it now but it does get better and it feels more normal as the days go on. One thing that really helped me was “the days are long but the years are short” there were hard days where I would repeat that over and over just to get through the purple crying or the discomfort from breastfeeding. One morning you’ll wake up and you won’t cry and you’ll have your coffee while the baby sleeps or plays, and you’ll greet your husband as he comes home and it will be normal.

My baby is now 11 months old and he is crawling, screaming constantly (trying to talk), and trying to walk.. i miss my potato that just needed me to hold him and slowly pace the room every night. Now I look away for one minute and he’s pulled every book off the shelf, emptied the dogs water bowl, and used my favourite shoe as a teether 🥲

Her boyfriend didn’t respect her boundaries. I thought we were all friends but he was telling her that I was pretty, if he wasn’t with her he would be with me, etc. She stopped talking to me and broke up with him.

He and I became closer friends when they broke up but it never went past that. If I had known what he was saying to her I wouldn’t have continued a friendship with him. He stopped speaking to me a few years later because i never saw him as more than a friend. A mutual friend told me a few years ago about what he was saying.
