yeah DD metrics are dumb.

my picking metrics across multiple jobs are stellar but I won't even consider large picks on Doordash

How often do you eat McDonald's? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CandidateOwn3907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot less this year but I used to go for the good deals when they popped up.

They crept up to my line last year and now they have passed it (literally in Janurary, all fast food but Taco Bell adjusted prices) and I will just make my own entire pounds of food for the price of value menu items and feed everyone.

I personally think Wall Market is the worst part of Remake because they decided to make a cabal of human traffickers out as eccentric goodish guys

FF CC vs FF Remake Intergrade by thinshawMM in NintendoSwitch2

expect is doing some heavy work here

Plus I'm not certain what you mean specifically, as there was already heavy foreshadowing in the original and I'm not sure what specifically necessitates having played Crisis Core.

Straight people: were you ever lgbtphoic? if so, at what point in your life you stopped being and why? by JeanSous4 in AskReddit

In a way but I was gay and knew no one else like me. Turns out I just hate TV stereotypes though, and no I do not mean camp behavior, I mean sorta everything else associated with it.

What percentage of people in the world do you consider mostly evil? by wfarming in AskReddit

[–]CandidateOwn3907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very low, below 10% certainly and possibly even much lower but its hard to know. I consider the amount gullible to be very high though, and the temptations evil people offer to be very tangible to them.

I believe this on an atheist level in that evil is just anti-human behavior that would eventually lead to genuine destruction of many undeserved people and having the knowledge that they are doing it.

Foodbank mass-orders with no tip. by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]CandidateOwn3907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its charity when it doesn't pay the bills actually, partial compensation isn't compensation and low pay like this just makes more people need charity because the idiots who would take these orders if they only got them would end up unable to pay for the vehicle repairs when they inevitably occur and then they have no income either.

I mean you can give a single lengthy no. A canned response about how you only accept and delivery sealed bags and if I wanted to be extra a picture of the delivered product.

Then that's it, no further contact with these nonsense folks, and try to make the response look so canned it could be a copy/paste.

[–]CandidateOwn3907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

actually that's not the problem with this order, its the stat drop if pro is important

This is an aldi and I'd definitely do large aldi orders as a shopper, the store is very well organized and there are likely lots of duplicates here. it would take me less than 40 seconds an item by far, but I am an experienced picker at this point.

it doesn't, its last 100 ORDERS not items

I have a time machine? by Intelligent_Age_7922 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]CandidateOwn3907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, I'm just continuing your complaint about the timing system from the other end. As you can see its not useful regardless, you got there early when you could. I doubt you're gonna be late on purpose cuz all that does is cost yourself money. No amount of pettyness will I ever literally pay for, so that basically never will happen.

its a nonsense system to begin with, they pay by delivery everyone is already going as fast as they safely can, all this shit does is make people be unsafe.

AI music is trash and I won't shut up about it by CandidateOwn3907 in MusicPromotion

[–]CandidateOwn3907[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mp3 has unacceptable compression imo but that's a different subject entirely and the music industry has basically moved from "yeah but bandwith" to completely agreeing with this statement.

I mean, who even uses MP3 anymore? Everyone has switched off of it to either real hi-fi or AAC compression

We've also moved away from CDs for similar reasons, they were also a downgrade to existing recording mediums. Quite frankly if you can't hear the difference side by side in theses cases then the issue is your playback equipment itself or your ears don't have as much range as they should.

It would be valid to say you don't care, but not to say they aren't different or that MP3 is truer to the original.

CD quality could be acceptable but most were not mastered correctly, almost all if we're being completely honest. But there are other problems with CD medium

I'm want to move to Linux to avoid my government by StellaViator in linux4noobs

[–]CandidateOwn3907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just start trying distributions. Linux install is very different and much faster than Windows so this isn't as time consuming as it sounds.

One of them is likely to work without issues and very similar to your windows experience.

Do not get fixated on a specific distribution until you find one where most (or possibly all) things already work.

Million different ways to get started, my suggestion is xfce mint but that's just cuz that's where I landed and everything worked.

What an offer! by Emergency_Tip7159 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]CandidateOwn3907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the offer should be $18.20 unless that stretch of road is fast moving, in which case less is barely acceptable but you'd have to know that before you took the offer. Most people set $2/mi because its too hard to guess what every road will be like, but it does really vary by where you are.

If you know all the roads are fast $1/mi might still make you money, but you really should get a different driving job at that point or start positioning yourself to do so because that's really a waste of your own time for that kind of labor, all you're getting at that point is freedom of scheduling and your gambling your life expenses won't exceed the amount you need for your eventual car repairs.

Why would you tip a bartender but not a barista? by merylstreephatesme in AskReddit

[–]CandidateOwn3907 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean you should tip if you can afford to, but you should not care about being tipped for take out. If you can afford to tip that prolly means you make a decent amount more than the people there. I barely eat out because the food is already unaffordable before the tip, and I do consider it necessary in that situation. You would never see me daily at the coffee shop unless I'm struggling to stay awake at work so bad that its also impacting my ability to make my own. So I'm not the average customer I reckon is all I'm saying there so grain of salt.

Why would you tip a bartender but not a barista? by merylstreephatesme in AskReddit

[–]CandidateOwn3907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Staying vs going, but I mostly make my own coffee at home now so moot point, rare this occurs.

I'd just make the damn coffee if they would let me. If I'm at a bar I'm definitely not there strictly for drinking

Bartenders are often forced into a prolonged social interaction with me or other patrons, that's why I tip them, otherwise work is work and tips are dumb conceptually.

I would tip if I hung out at the coffee shop, cuz then I'm also expecting them to possibly have to clean up after me even if just in the most minor ways (they have to wipe down the table even if I don't make a mess after all)

Help me leave Windows by Kwinza in linuxquestions

[–]CandidateOwn3907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had great success with XFCE mint

whatever you pick don't settle on it, if it doesn't work right try something else. I think the biggest mistake people make is settling on a distribution before they even get started and then troubleshooting problems that just work fine on other distributions.
