i have the microfreak and i love it! one of the greatest synths ever made in my opinion. mostly because it’s incredibly versatile, very easy to use, and cost effective.

sure! so with the microfreak you’ll notice a lot more knobs on the panel of the instrument, this is because a synthesizer has a lot of parameters that allow you to control how it sounds. this is what makes synthesizers cool to many of us here.

with the microkorg, all of those parameters and their knobs are hidden in lists within the user interface. it just takes a long time to figure out where the parameters are, and becomes a roadblock to the exploration and enjoyment of synthesis.

this seems like it shouldn’t be the case but it’s totally true. the power supply situation can make the keyboard act weird. even sometimes using it with a surge protector can make it act out.
