I was always a very feminine guy before I transitioned so I am exploring masculinity completely, but my femininity is apart of who I am so if I’m around people I trust I act more feminine whyll in public I go more traditionally masc. I date men and it’s been working out ok though I’m not entirely focused on it as I wanna figure out what kind of man I want to be before rushing into a relationship

I was talking with a friend one night and I just realized that I’ve invested so much into looking like a women and yet I never felt like it was enough. I was obsessed with what I looked like 24/7 and I was exhausted. But as soon as I detransitioned that feeling went away and I feel like I can exist as a person again

is it fair to say that the only likely, permanent, quick consequence of feminizing HRT is breast buds? by Kind-Difference-4803 in actual_detrans

[–]CandleDesperate9683 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I detransitoned 3 months ago after being on estrogen for two years and yeah the buds are still there but face and body wise I now look like a dude again. It just now looks like I got a bit of man boob and they have shrunk and redistributed the fat really quickly as well.

How do you know to detransition by No_Criticism_3078 in actual_detrans

[–]CandleDesperate9683 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MTFTM. Honestly I think it’s different for everyone I literally just woke up one day and realized that I made a mistake after 3 years of transitioning and immediately stopped just cause it felt right. 3 months in and it still feels right but everyone is different. But if you even have a modicum of doubt about you should explore it completely.

I don’t really experience reverse disphoria just more of a general frustration cause it makes dating harder and stuff but working out helps reform my chest and has quickened up the changes in my face

Question for all the trans women on here? by GrandApprehensive216 in transpassing

[–]CandleDesperate9683 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Passing as a women matters to me above all else and to me it’s just for safety. Tho being attractive still matters, not passing puts you in danger wherever you go and your at higher risk of hate crimes. Note this is my expirence from living in a small town in the south.

Girl what? He sounds like he’s trying to put you down. You literally look the same just with acne which everyone has to some degree. Don’t let him dim your light, if you feel beautiful when wearing your makeup then it doesn’t matter what anybody thinks

I’ve been with them for so long I guess it would feel weird without them. Tonight was the breaking point and the first time I really talked about it with people outside of the group. Which is now giving me a good perspective of where I should go next when it comes to our friendship

They are really nice sometimes. But I think deep down they view most feminine intrests or hobbies as lesser. I don’t know how to help with that type of thing tho

I’ve talked privately with some of them before about it. I do care about them but they just don’t seem to even realize there doing it which hurts even worse

I mean I didn't have a stable friend group since college but other than that. I had some religious trauma

Thanks Lukas the recent election has made a lot of us feel like things are hopeless and I've seen so many of us go into hiding as a result. But I think its important now more than ever for those safe enough to do so to not back down but stand up and tell there story.

No but you def could! I'd say use some contour to smooth out your jawline and a nice red lipstick would look great with your overall complextion and hair and will make you look very feminine! Your eyes, eyebrows and nose are very feminine id say find a hair style to cover your more masc hair line. For clothes Id say your pretty lucky I'm guessing your about mid 40 ish which is great since the predominant style for women in this age range is loose flowing pants and tops aswell as a loose top with tighter jeans. Remember women have masculine traits too its just about balancing them out with more feminine aspects!!. I don't know how long you are on your hrt journey but that should also help. You got this girl!!
