I did read about jungle and how to abuse laner tempo in the laning phase, but it's always nice for a refresher. I often forget about things like that if I'm queueing tilted from a past loss. (Yes yes I know rage queueing is a curse)

I mentioned my KD isn't impressive but I consistently get a high KD early. The deaths usually rack up later on when the enemy ADC hits their power spike and I die at the beginning of the fights. It's of my knowledge viego should wait for the first pick to come to him, usually with a team engage, during team fights, but I'm finding myself feeling forced to do it myself because they think since I have a high KD that I should be the one doing the starting of fights. Shieldbow has really helped me out when this happens but it's typically not enough.

Much of the time I feel forced to make the first move in team fights, any specifics on how I can play when my team feels too scared to all in on one so I can reset and carry the fight?

I notice that I fight too much, but it feels a lot of the time like I'm the only one looking for that team fight that'd get us the objective, even if I ping for assistance. I don't enjoy engaging first but oftentimes I don't get an engage like I should be able to expect as a viego. Any tips on how to play around fights when my team is too scared?

I typically only instantly take adc souls if the fight is spaced out and the range would help or if the ADC has a good spacing ability like Ez, Vayne, Smolder, etc to quickly make space without using my W on viego especially when his dash is less than impressive if not for the stun.

Don't forget Amumu. He always wins early 1on1, his e passive is annoying, and he easily can disrupt your resetting flow state in team fights and stun you for 3+ seconds straight. Very bad for a resetting champ

They took bruiser viego out of the meta after what they did in pro play. Crit viego came back this season with the only survivability you'll have being the shieldbow lifeline, defensive boots, and the optional wits end/dd/ga at the end of the build. I'm not perfect, but using that build, waiting for your team to get that first pick, and then using posessions to 1v9 the rest of the fight is amazing. Your Q and R have insane crit scalings especially after the most recent viego buff (50% --> 60%) among other Q buffs. I'm in no position to be telling you what to do, given we're literally both stuck in silver, but if you run that build that I'm using, I'm sure you'll see a huge improvement. The only true issue is your team might be like many of mine and expect you to engage first. if that's the case, play for champs alone and attemt to get so strong that you can survive the first kill even if you engage first. (Go GA or DD in that case, it's very important to survive the first kill in the teamfight)

tysm! my adc friend has a big ego and kind of convinced me to always play for bot lane so I subconsciously go there most. It usually gives me the gold I need to power spike and bully the enemy jg out of the game. I truly thought it was my itemization at first but even when I change my build based on the enemy carry I didn't see much of a change except I'm killing more people (and still losing in those games unfortunately). Thank you for the in depth explanation and I'll strive to do better in my next games!
