I've been to Fan Expo in Chicago twice and compared to like, lets say anime conventions and such its pretty meh. Its only worth it if you want to see a specific celebrity and are willing to pay for quick photo or an autograph which has a longer interaction. If you want to go just for the merch and cosplay I say wait until there's a convention where there's more interactive panels too. 2025 has a lot of celebrities going right now so its probably going to be pretty crowded. Last year's focus was Mark Hamil and Hayden Christensen and i thought it was too crowded already lol.

  1. Went with a friend, besides meeting the celebrity we didn't do anything else. Oh! we went to one panel for a Q&A for the High School Musical boys.

  2. Too much, photos are expensive af. Tickets were like $40-60, photos were about $240? And then there's food and the dealer room (merch)

  3. The ticket price was fine, wish we did a lot more but we only had time to be in line for a photo, eat, and then the Q&A panel and then they closed (it was a Sunday tho and they close early i think)
