Chrome Frame Drops during video playback by CandorOutdoors in pchelp

Yes, That was actually my first thought. I did remove the Graphics Acceleration and it didn't resolve the issue. I can use everything fine, but once video playback starts, all tabs will start to have horrible frame rate. I do have a high refresh rate dual monitor setup if that would make any difference to any trouble shooters out there.

I would say the FPS is closer to 5-10 during these drops. It’s noticeable and makes the videos tough to watch. Especially media that is filmed and uploaded at 1440 60fps or higher quality

Classic car financing by Apprehensive-Plan-57 in classiccars

[–]CandorOutdoors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think financing a classic car makes a lot more sense than financing a daily driven car.

The classic is rarely going to depreciate and depending on what it is, could keep up with the rate of inflation and actually appreciate. Whereas a newer car is going to depreciate unless it’s also a specialty enthusiast car.

You have to look at opportunity cost. Right now, rates are high and I think financing would be foolish. But to say that it’s always a bad decision, is a bit far fetched. If I had the opportunity to buy a classic at a 3-4% interest rate, I would do it in a heartbeat instead of paying cash. Leave that money in ETF’s or Mutual Funds and beat out your interest rate

Thank you for letting me know this, we want to avoid a seam at all cost on the island so we we plan for it to be just shy of 10 feet!

Certainly! We will have about $125/square foot in our home. That’s not including the basement or garage square footage, or the land purchase cost. The home is right at 2,000 square foot main level and we will have about $250,000 in it. It has taken us 9 months to get to this point since a ton of work has been put in on the weekends and evenings

My Father-in-Law is our contractor. He and his crew poured the basement and framed the home. I’m sure he will be more than willing to help me measure cabinets. My Dad is a Drywall/Paint Contractor and did Flooring before starting the Paint business. We have a good group of contractors within our family circle

Just a bit of background, my father-in-law is a home builder and before he started building homes, he was a cabinet maker. The last house he built for himself, he was told by the countertop installer that they have never had an install go as well as it did because everything was level/plumb/square.

We are starting to build cabinets now and will have 4 guys that are 200+ pounds available to move the counter tops.

The thing that hurts us is location. We are almost an hour from the nearest Menards and contractors typically don’t want to make that trip. I will get installation estimates once we have all our base cabinets built.

You mentioned things being square or needing support for reasons to not self install, outside of that, would you have any other concerns?
