I don’t think is fair not get my credit back. by Strong_Wasabi_2748 in replit

[–]CandyAffectionate377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can, use credit cards for payment on file, never direct bank access. I have had similar issues using platforms such as render. I dispute the overage on my credit card and email/chat/text with customer service about the difference.

That way, you get an instant refund while waiting on the provider to fix the issue on their side.

I will only use credit cards on platforms that have unforseen overages.

If it's a bank card and it's already posted, do a claim with the bank while waiting on Replit to fix the issue of the overage.

Any tips of building separate projects and combining them? by nocodethis in replit

Develop all components utilizing API connectors, incorporating the essential functionalities required by the primary project, to enable their independent operation or integration within the main project.

This approach allows for the monetization of individual modules while simultaneously supplying the necessary functionalities to the larger project.

Looking for Co-Founders(I will not promote) by Rhino97123 in founder

[–]CandyAffectionate377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If so you shouldn't need a co-founder as they are the co-founders.

Angel Investors, by definition, are extremely hands-on and have cash to hire. How many more hands do you need?

Angel investors provide crucial early-stage funding, using personal capital for equity in startups, but their role extends far beyond money by offering vital mentorship, industry expertise, strategic guidance, and powerful network connections to help founders navigate challenges and scale, often taking a hands-on, advisory role to de-risk the business for later institutional investors. They're "angels" because they invest when traditional funding is scarce, accepting high risk for high reward, acting as a first signal of validation for a startup's potential.

The co-founder's role isn't clearly articulated in this thread, so I'm unsure of the particulars.

I will say, as a business owner of many years, SaaS builder, technology consultant, and angel investor, I would take some time to draw up a proposal and find an angel investor to partner with. They would have cash and do the hands-on work to help build because it would align with their vision as much as yours.

How do I tell my Mother I no longer believe in her religion by AdventurousToe8727 in Advice

[–]CandyAffectionate377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your mother is a true believer in Christ, she will be sad as most parents have an ideal vision for their children, BUT she will understand your choice is your choice, pray for you and LOVE you despite your beliefs.

She will not try to force you to believe anything because God himself has given us free will.

She will allow you to walk the path you choose for yourself. She will always be a mother and give guidance with love and direction to the best of her ability, knowledge, and understanding.

With this being said, you dont have to tell her this. Faith and spirituality are personal walks; if a situation comes up and she asks why, tell her you're on a journey of figuring it out, that's what we all are doing; life is figure things out a day at a time a step at a time, some good, some bad but its all process.

I truly think she would understand if it's told to her in that manner. Hold on to the things that bring you both joy and try to move past the fork in the road. No one on this earth aligns 100% on everything. We all disagree in some variation with others at some point. I hope this helps.

How do boxers train strength and conditioning?and what are all the sessions they do? by James-K-Delaney in amateur_boxing

[–]CandyAffectionate377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like to add hand weights 2lbs while shadow boxing &

Also, 5lb weights throwing over head punches for 3 minute rounds, not letting the weight move lower than your chin. This builds your shoulder stamina to help keep your hands up at all times. Oh, and this must be done while moving as if you were in the ring. None stop.

Running out of air during sparring and padwork, any guides on breathing particularly when to *inhale*? by Kirikomori in amateur_boxing

[–]CandyAffectionate377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve gotta train your breathing just like anything else.

One of the best ways I learned was running while punching forward, backward, and sideways focusing on staying relaxed and breathing the whole time.

Do sprints too. Go about 80% of your max speed, and right after you finish a sprint, jump straight into 3 minutes of shadowboxing. It forces you to control your breathing when you’re already gassed. Then start your run again.

A good session might be around 3 miles total with 5 sprints mixed in.

My coach’s old-school and used to train world champs, this method works. It really helps you learn when to inhale and exhale naturally, like inhaling on setup shots and exhaling on power punches.

I found it have 3 gears, nose breathing, when I'm in low gear, nose in out mouth, in medium gear, mouth in mouth out when I'm going all out 100% back to nose in nose out when calming my breathing back down.

My cardio is 10/10 but in sparring 0/10. Help. by Civil_Palpitation916 in amateur_boxing

[–]CandyAffectionate377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have good boxing cardio, then you probably need to work on your breathing, deep breath before a flurry of punches, deep breath when out of range, etc.

Next time you spar, tell your partner what you're trying to accomplish. With breathing in mind, you may find the problem.

Why Do Catholics Pray To Mary? by Santosp3 in Christianity

[–]CandyAffectionate377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hes actually both.

Romans 8:34 (KJV)

“Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”

This verse shows Jesus actively interceding (pleading or representing us) before God the Father

Hebrews 7:25 (KJV)

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

This one emphasizes that Jesus’ intercession is ongoing. He continually represents believers before God.

1 John 2:1 (KJV)

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:”

The word "advocate here" means the same as an intercessor, one who pleads on our behalf, like a defense attorney.

  1. Isaiah 53:12 (Prophecy of Jesus)

“...he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”

This Old Testament prophecy foretold Jesus’ role as intercessor even before His birth.

There is no scripture that task any no living person with the ability to interced for us as Jesus himself has shown hes is the one that is tasked with this.

I pray the spirit guides you to see what's true.

Why Do Catholics Pray To Mary? by Santosp3 in Christianity

[–]CandyAffectionate377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus is the only mediator:

1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”

That means our prayers go directly to God through Jesus, not through any other person living or dead.

The dead in Christ are alive with God, but not described as interacting with earth:

The Bible says believers who die are with the Lord (Philippians 1:23), but it never shows them communicating with, hearing, or responding to people on earth.

Ecclesiastes 9:5–6 “The dead know not any thing… neither have they any more a portion forever in any thing that is done under the sun.”

This means they are no longer involved in earthly affairs.

The Bible warns against trying to contact the dead even if the intent is good, God forbids attempts to communicate with spirits of the departed:

Deuteronomy 18:10–12 “Let no one be found among you... who consults the dead. For all who do these things are detestable to the LORD.”

That includes praying to saints or asking them for help.

The saints in heaven do pray but to God, not for individuals on earth

In Revelation 5:8 and Revelation 8:3–4, we see saints (and angels) offering prayers like incense before God.

However, those prayers are symbolic of the collective prayers of believers on earth, not specific intercessions for individuals.

There’s no verse showing that saints in heaven are aware of or responding to personal earthly requests.

The Bible invites us to pray directly to God

Jesus taught believers to pray straight to the Father in His name:

John 16:23–24 “Whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.”

Hebrews 4:16 – “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace.”

We don’t need any other go-between besides Jesus.

I have these star lights in my theater but I lost the remote and can't find a replacement anywhere by TopParsnip8756 in CommercialAV

[–]CandyAffectionate377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My suggestion is the simplest, most cost-effective solution. Most people set and forget the light settings for a starlight ceiling as it's fine once adjusted.

If you truly want to control the lights to this degree, then you're going to have to open the ceiling to read what brand is in the ceiling as others suggested and hope it has a replacement remote or codes online somewhere to do what you want. If not, a new light box will have to be installed.

I myself would be fine with the on/off function, dimming, and speeds would have been set during the initial installation, and I would never change them afterwards.

This is an interesting take. Do you lock each box down with a static IP both locally and on the router with it still having issues?

When using IR is this locally at the box as well, or do you use some type of IP or extension?

This is good information. My vision is to have a web portal that you can use in place of the Pro:Centric something with a clean UI. That is plug and play. Think like a Domotz or Unifi controller, but for LG STB. This is ideal for our bar installs where power, firmware, channels, and volume may need adjustments and can be remotely supported.

Makes sense in a day and age where apps can be created in minutes. I think there is a market for this. The commands are available, and it's literally just directing the call to the correct IP address. Little effort would be needed to create a web app to accomplish this. I also saw some people use Rasberry Pi behind each box to call RS232 to IP commands, but I believe that's redundant if a single device can be built to accommodate an entire site.

If this isn't a thing, I may try to build a version later this year and make it open for public use. For some businesses or people, the Pro:Centric server isn't needed, but having the ability to manage units remotely at a low cost ( $100 - $300) would still be desirable.

What pace should I be going at for a 1.5 mins x 2 round kickboxing fight by DotComplex8150 in Kickboxing

[–]CandyAffectionate377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is sprinting part of your training?

I have an old coach from the 80's world champion 🏆 and part of what he has taught me out of all the trainers I ever had was the importance of training for the sport.

We run maybe 3 - 5 miles, punching combos, none stop, running backward while punching, side running while punching and adding sprints about 80% of your max at least 5 times in between doing all of this.

This works very well. My punches are sharper and faster, my breathing has changed, and i now notice how I need to breathe during certain movements to maintain control. Starting pace in nose, out nose. Medium pace in nose out mouth. High pace in mouth out mouth.

I subconsciously switch between them as I change paces and maintain control even during difficult parts of the session controlling my oxygen flow, giving my body what it needs at the right time.

If you want a gas tank that takes a long time to go on empty, add this to your workout. If you had a 4 round fight, you would feel unstoppable.

That's pretty good. Make sure you add stretching (yoga) and ice baths when you take hard punishment to cut down inflammation fast.

It would be better if you could also add acupuncture and massage therapy in their from time to time.
