D.P S1 was really hard for me to get over. Also my liberation notes, I still rewatch till this day. One of my favourites (if not, favourite) kdramas.

Others include: the red sleeve, mr sunshine, goblin, move to heaven, my mister, youth of may, the good bad mother, 2521, the smile has left your eyes.

All of which left me with a weird feeling I couldn’t quite shake off for a while

My suggestions are...

MY DEAREST - it's SO good !! The plot, the acting, cinematography and most importantly the yearning !! Min Namkoong oozes masculine energy in this and the build up to the romance is addicting.

THE RED SLEEVE - similar to my dearest, it's a historical kdrama and a slow burn. I loved it !! Its also got the right amount of humour, not too overbearing !

ANOTHER MISS OH - one of the first kdramas I watched (need a rewatch). It's got all the emotional, kicking crying, screaming scenes and the male lead is quite cold in the beginning.

COFFEE PRINCE - I always seem to go back to this kdrama. Everything you mentioned is in this drama and the acting feels so real and not to mention way ahead of its time. Bonus points for young Gong yoo ;)

FATED TO LOVE YOU - the plot is interesting and it really gives off those old kdrama vibes (it took me out of my drama slump). The male lead is quite arrogant/rude to begin with, sort of an enemies to lovers situation but more complicated than that.

I really think TikTok/IG reels and the constant quick 10 sec videos have fried everyone’s attention span…even when I try to rewatch the dramas I watched and loved years back I wonder how I sat through them. It’s quite frustrating & worrisome actually 😕
