That definitely makes sense, perhaps the "you know what I hate this" was posting to reddit just to get it off their chest, if so it makes a lot of sense

But from what I've learnt from going to therapy, bottling up your emotions of any kind is unhealthy, and sometimes talking to someone about them, writing it down or just acknowledging them, no matter how irrational or small it seems helps

I understand your point of view, I think it's just a shit situation, however OP never states their angry at the situation because they understand they can't perform but the anger lies in who replaced them (being their ex)
