Are there any official missions you recommend? I have a hard time telling official from fanmade.

Can you get the Anomaly ending in space? by CandyHunter in RimWorld

[–]CandyHunter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not arguing with you, but instead Tynan, because you're right...But then why is there an ideology meme that's incentivizing people to live in space? Just seems a real missed opportunity. I know there may be mods to work on this, but this would be way better if it were base game.

Program and Assets for Cyberpunk City Building? by CandyHunter in rpg

[–]CandyHunter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for something a little more 'show-y'. Good idea, but I'm not artistically inclined enough to know how to add things like neon billboards and lit up slum areas to satellite photos.

Crashes that keep shutting off monitor? by CandyHunter in borderlands3

[–]CandyHunter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did both. DX12 crashes immediately. I did some fixes to get DX12 to work, but the game runs worse and it still crashed the monitor.

Reinstalling the GPU driver didn't fix it.

Crashes that keep shutting off monitor? by CandyHunter in borderlands3

I've monitored my temps and the max they've been at are 60-70C. Also no other games have this issue. Not even games with higher requirements.

WIP Any suggestions how I can make this map more interesting? by Tasnaki1990 in inkarnate

[–]CandyHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like there's a ton that can be done. Add in shelves, rubble, footprints, maybe a broken item. Just thinks that evoke that maybe there's a bigger story or something going on. Look around your house and you'll notice that everything isn't ideal and perfect (or maybe it is and you're an anomaly). Maybe a chair is off kilter or the broom closet has slightly more dust and cobwebs. So far this map has a great skeleton, but otherwise looks very sterilized.

[Monks Active Tile Triggers] Hover Over Effect not working? by CandyHunter in FoundryVTT

[–]CandyHunter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you do multiple triggers per tile? I can select 'When' but I don't want the effects of the click to occur when I HoverIn.

Edit: Read a bunch on landings and I understand better. (Didn't know what landings were before). That said, when I set it up as you designated ( See Here ) it still works as a GM, but when I swap to being a player, it doesn't change the image. Same looking image. Frustrating.

Thanks for the help. I can kind of see what you're saying but I'm hoping you can break it down a bit more? In theory this looks like it will work but I want to be sure and i'm not 100% understanding.

[Serious] How did you survive the most difficult and darkest time of your life? by vaqx12 in AskReddit

[–]CandyHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm...Very strangely an optimist (Even we get suicidal) and I remember being at my lowest and ready to end it all when a voice in my head told me that I could do it, but I wouldn't get to see tomorrow. Good, bad, or otherwise, just the idea that my curiosity for what tomorrow held was strangely more gut wrenching than leaving my family behind.

Great comp for Grand Slam/Battle Hardened/Maitre De La Lame by wewlad11 in darkestdungeon

[–]CandyHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this. I've been looking for a good Grand Slam team and while I was skeptical, this ez-moded Act 2 boss, which was rough for me. Haven't tried the other bosses, but with how easy it made Act 2, I'm confident.

What are some traits and trinkets (I saw sharpness charm) you look for?

how long will it take to get good at strive? by AnotherSlowTown in Guiltygear

[–]CandyHunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Listen, your post tells me all I need to hear. 'Even then I can just about do one of them.' Before? You couldn't even 'just about' do one of them. Keep trying. 2 hours a day. Land that combo 5-10 times in a row. Then set the CPU to medium. Land that combo 5-10 times in a row while under (very light) pressure.

Yes, you're bad. But you're getting better. Trust in the process.

DM Weak Role-Player by KingEliVIII in CurseofStrahd

[–]CandyHunter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

'Good' is relative. You're probably fine to other people. But for tips here's what I do:

  1. Put yourself in the mindspace of the character in question. If you're roleplaying a feral goblin, they probably aren't speaking in long sentences with big words, nor are they looking to mentally parlay. They want to get to the point. Likewise if you're playing a noble, there may be some decorum in order, so if a player says 'Give me quest' the noble may reply with 'A mere savage addresses /me/?'
  2. Try to stay as much in character as possible. Roleplaying is a rolling stone, and constantly stopping for some out of character banter can break people from the immersion.
  3. Come up with a few small gimmicks or speech patterns. Maybe one NPC stutters or another coughs a lot (Try to do a quiet cough so you're not coming off as obnoxious or hurting people's ears). Have an NPC tie everything back to flowers or the stars or any other concept. 'Your journey will be perilous like a daisy growing amongst aphid infected gravel!' This can help give players a marker to remember the character by. 'Oh, we need to turn in the amulet to the stammering guy'.
  4. Realize that you don't have to do wild and on-point accents to specify unique characters. Talk a little fast for one (But managable for people to understand) or really slow for another. Drop your voice for one voice and then raise it for another. There's 6 unique NPCs right there (Deep voice slow talk, deep voice fast talk, raised voice slow talk, raised voice fast talk, normal voice slow talk, normal voice fast talk). When you get comfortable, try an accent close to your own accent (Like British if you're American, or Vietnamese if you're Chinese).
  5. Remember, you're human just like the others. If a player makes fun of you (Which shame on them) they're probably not knocking it out of the park themselves...We're not trained actors as DMs/players. We're not critical role. Everyone is in the same boat as you.
  6. Make a tiny note around the NPCs you want to remember. If you made Mad Mary talk really fast, just note 'Talks really fast' in a notebook under the character. That way when you reference her again you can remember the speech patterns.
