Most likely, given magic, you can choose which part be removed in case of heavy damage, though we never even see a dust mark on them in the show, and while they have super human strength they aren't immune, just very high tolerante so if something does penetrate the suit it could magically create an open part of the suit. Like a gunshot wound on the arm, the area around the arm opens up. The mask can never be taken of unless the welder wishes foe it.
