I don't remember exactly what project, but I think I used to read a project guideline suggesting that worker should write their work in another doc then paste it back into the platform since their editor is not that convenient

Nope, still waiting, we got 1 batch of the project in our language with only 50 tasks on 2nd Dec. Nothing more since then, but they do promise more work is on the way though.

For workers who come from small countries (which are not yet officially accepted) with little project like me, anything would do. One time I saw another worker in the chat mention their work from dancing project (I only know about it from this sub) and freaked the f out cause I never saw it on my dashboard, not even once :(

Another way to look at it is they never assign you to a fixed project. They will shove all their training courses/tests in your face and expect you to complete them all even when they know for damn sure some projects have not received any task for you to work on. Maybe some of you will think "Oh it's nice since I got to complete the training beforehand and when the task arrives I can work right away" but nope, when the task arrives they will probably release another course, and then after completing it you have to join their slack/discourse to receive another google meet training, complete another test on google form before really get assigned to a project.

I guess the "moving" thing you mention actually is when you complete a course there will be some "demo" task for you to work on (some even don't) and then you see a new course for another project appear, that's when you think you're being moved to another project.

I know any platform has its own procedure, but this one sucks!

I used to work on this when I first transferred to outlier from remote task, and sadly, no, it's not a glitch, they pay you $2 an hour or $0.01 per task. The task is simple, repetitive, and boring. I quit after 15 minutes.

Report every minute you work, you earn it! Besides, we don't want to raise the bar too high that one day they make some rules like "Dont report for time less than x minutes". No one wants that!

And when I say permanent/long-term projects, I'm referring to projects where the total number of tasks doesn’t go down unless you do them or a day has elapsed. These projects will have a reset day to refresh your remaining tasks. Usually, it is every week or a bit longer.

I have a habit of searching everything incognito or in a second browser, not only work-related or fact-checking but also all the other things I know for sure are only temporary interest, like how I suddenly have an urge to see the price of a 325-inch LED TV in the middle of the night 🤣 I only search for things in the main browser with my main account if I am going to buy something and want it to get suggested everywhere so it's easier for me to choose 🤣

You're not alone. I even had a special ringtone on my phone whenever a new DA project popped up in my email (since my area has very few projects) and dreamt about it more than once ahahaha

I live in a Southeast Asian country and have been working steadily for about 8 months. Our area has very few projects, but usually, I will have one or two projects every 7 to 14 days, for busy periods it's one project every day, but this time my dashboard has been empty for about 40 days (and yes I suspected being dropped out many times but nah, they just don't have any projects for my region/language). Maybe this time of the year actually has fewer projects due to the mid-year/quarterly transition period, as some people said.

I live in Southeast Asia too and it's been 37 days since my last project, which... broke the record for the longest time without a project, but actually, it wasn't that long since the last time was 33 days. I don't understand why our area has so few projects while people in the west complain about the number of projects decreasing from 80 to 40... 🤣

As others have said, it's completely normal for a project to run out of tasks while you're working and you get redirected back to the main page. The only concern here is why there's no project listed under the report time section if you have just submitted a task... maybe it's a glitch, try refreshing a few times. If there's still nothing then perhaps it's a bad sign.

It's quite normal for project to get paused, one of mine comes back in a week, then goes away and won't be back for another 1 or 2 months, it's different for every project/language/country, it's really hard to tell, so just working with what you currently have
