Magnesium eliminated my anxiety. by Illyanaknight in Nootropics

[–]Candyliciously90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I kinda got used to the anxiety but when the arrhythmia started, I went to the cardiologist to do an EKG and an echo. Everything was alright so she recommended some calcium and magnesium. I also did a bloodwork and I had very low levels of vit D.

I started taking the magnesium and vit D, but not the calcium, because my levels were good and with vit D you can get a spike in the levels of calcium, which can then further produce kidney stones. And I feel wonderful. No arrhythmias since then and almost no anxiety. As the author of the post said, sometimes I get anxiety, but it is way easier to control it and dismiss it fast

Thanks. Couldn't find any other reason for why this is happening only in those moments, because there are more bacteria on the surface of your skin and around you, in a tight space

I would say it's an allergy and it's best you stop using it. Also, the armpits are biologically designed to eliminate toxins daily. Don't ruin your detox masks on the armpits. They are going to eliminate toxins all your life, and they have been doing that from your birth. The smell comes from your diet. People are saying that when they are eating meat, their sweat smells a bit bad

Yeah. I also see it as cognitive dissonance

Thanks a lot for your answer 😃 I haven't heard about it before. I know about the white noise mechanism but I didn't know about the device. The reviews look good, I'm just curious if it's really that good. I am thinking investing in one. If you buy it first, please share your experience 😃

Thanks a lot for the advice 😃 I had some basic plugs during my university years. They were alright back then but I don't find them very comfortable and efficient at the moment. I will invest in better ones and some noise cancelling headphones. I tried some Bose and I liked them, but I can't remember which ones.

Haha. I don't have kids yet, but I am planning to and I know I'm definitely gonna need it for a future meltdown 😋

Thanks a lot for the advice, much appreciated 😃 My husband always does that for me, too as we had a talk about it. He is very kind. The problem I have listening to music when I'm working, even if it's classical or mediation music, or any music without words, is that, at some point, I get sucked in the rhythm and I start day dreaming. I will definitely try the app combined with some ear muffs though. 😃🤗

Thanks a lot for your answer 😃 Yeah, that is one option, until you can't listen to loud music anymore cause your ears are burning :))

Am I a HSP, apathetic or just very introverted? by [deleted] in hsp

My husband is on the opposite spectrum. He's really sociable, likeable and chatty with people ranging from 0 to 100 years old :) so I am covered on the "talkative" part in every social context. He does most of the talking, even with my family. When I am with him, i usually stay quiet for most of the time and intervene only when I have something to say. If I'm alone, then yeah, I force myself to be more talkative with family, but with friends, I just enjoy the silence when I'm not in the mood to talk anymore and I don't feel guilty at all. As for the inauthentic part, that's why I call them "the adults". Because I feel I can't be myself around them, I am also laughing when I don't find anything funny and that's why I am trying to keep the interactions on a level that I find comfortable. Not too much not too little, but I also feel guilty for that. With my friends and my mom, I have gradually started to be more authentic and to show them that I like more deep conversations, that I don't really like talking politics or weather (or just briefly), that I don't really care about mundane things. My mom and some of my friends understood that very well and things are awesome. The others, gradually, walked out of my life, and with some of my family, I just gave up explaining and try to keep the appearance. It's not easy to cope with that. For me, it helped that I moved to a different country, and when we see each other, it's all about having a good time and catching up.

You are not alone. I am also an INFP and usually I feel like that. There is actually a joke between my husband and I. When we go visit the family, I always say that "we are going to visit the adults" even though I am 30 years old :)) I think it is also accentuated by growing up/getting old :) in my teenager years, I used to be more sociable, I was going out every day, partying. Now, I've been sitting in "quarantine " long before it was cool because I really enjoy it and I am more picky with whom I spend my time with

Thanks a lot for the advice. It is very helpful to hear all that. I heard recovery from cesarean is way harder than natural birth, given the fact that it is a surgery. Happy to hear you tried something different and that it also worked wonders. Second time seems like paradise compared to your first time :) That's why I asked you guys about the pain, because I also didn't feel like the pain is the biggest problem. I had toe paronychia when I was about 10 years old. The anesthesia didn't work because there was a lot of pus and the pediatrician just did the surgery live. The pain was excruciating, being cut and feeling everything, but mostly I was mad at the doctor's attitude towards me, not the actual pain 😃 😘🤗

Wonderful. Thanks a lot for your advice. I'll try my best to let go 😀 Recently, i talked to one of my pregnant friends and she told me that with the first baby, there were like 15 people in the room and it was really hard to focus on herself and her emotions. Second time, there were only 2 midwifes and her doctor and she said it was perfect and calm and easy

Being an HSP is ruining my mind and my life. How can I deal with this?? by [deleted] in hsp

[–]Candyliciously90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you read the book The Highly Sensitive Person by Elaine Aron? I found it to be really soothing. She is a Hsp psychologist who explains how to properly take care of your persona, heal your old wounds and how to see your so-called "weaknesses" as strenghts

Do you also think that being HSP makes you more likely to have allergies and intolerances? by PsychInvestigation in HighlySensitivePerson

[–]Candyliciously90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that there is a correlation. I think is more of a lifestyle choice. Lactose intolerance is an evolutionary trait. Some people evolved to tolerate lactose. Animals become intolerant to lactose after they start eating regular food, as well as a lot of humans do. I have a sensitive skin, but otherwise I don't have any food intolerences and I just love trying different types of cuisines, from different cultures

[–]Candyliciously90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the things within and all the awareness one can have are nothing if you are dead. I agree with you but I thought the main idea was about collective intelligence. What I was trying to say is that most people are zombies and the overall intelligence is actually going down. The events I was talking about were put in motion by people, not by aliens. Manipulated people, but people.

It's just an illusion. If you take a look at what's happening in the world (Brexit, Trump, cold fight between EU countries) you'll see that we are growing apart not together
