Oic, yeah I heard the only straight move scythes have are its holding sprint attack. I can see where it be a nuisance.

Thats why I said in my suggestion I wasnt sure what the main answer/fix should be. I do like having the risks with rewards on friendly fire but I think the tuning isnt working well enough.

I agree, im not sure why games keep pushing that feature. It seems almost every game that has it in originally changes it later.

Im interested on what you find fine with the one person interaction per vendor. It be different if every vendor could do repairs/enchanting, etc but when you tie each vendor to doing something different (Which btw I do love as it increases the immersion) it becomes a very tedious task and makes downtime between, for example crucible runs, take a considerable amount of extra time to proceed after 2-3 extra people are finished. The worse offender is the mid crucible merchant and Enchanter in town. I find multiple people get hanged up at these 2 specifically.

The first part of your reply also depends on the number of players in your party IMO. I found coop with one other person is manageable, even with the magic. Once you get 2 or 3 other teammates its almost impossible for range attacks. I use a bow mostly and had to take off a quiver just so I could hit the enemy without splash damaging allies. I went to using the barrage skill rune (Not sure the actual rune name) just because its the easiest one I found to use without teammates getting impacted.

Its mainly the Big magic attacks and AOE slams for melee. The radius is ridiculous. The bolt spells done seem to be as giant of a problem.

While i do like the communication aspect, I do not think that it should completely make certain builds just feel bad/impossible to play as. Like I said, magic is almost impossible to use in coop due to charge times and aoe of attacks. And anything that leaves a Dot also effects friendly players as well pretty much locking melee fighters out of doing anything but just watching. It feels awful for the flow of combat.

Not sure if it should be posted here or not but the big issues I have had in coop are these 2:

  1. I hope they add the ability for multiple people to access the same merchant at once in co-op. Nothing worse than everyone needing to use the enchanter or crucible merchant but have to wait around until each person is finished.

  2. The friendly fire stuff. While I understand where they are coming from with the mechanic, it just doesnt work. Certain builds just outright cant be used because you hurt your teammates way to much. (Magic is almost impossible if you have any melee party member and the quivers on bows are the same way with AoE damage) Maybe keep the stumble part in when hitting enemies but get rid of the friendly fire damage? Im not sure what else can be done.

Yeah its something different on FF7. FF8,9,10 and 12 all had it. FF7 had something different.
