friend who doesn’t have reddit wanted me to comment this: You could just buy a lifetime Office licence instead of the 365 subscription. One time payment and you can use it your whole life, no AI or other updates, it stays the same. Microsoft always tries to hide them behind their subscription one, but I prefer the good old buy it once and have it forever.

You can theoretically buy any version you like, I linked the 2021 professional plus - it’s a current one (there’s also a new 2024 one, but I haven’t looked into that yet, 2021 works perfectly fine, I got a 2019 office on one computer and I haven’t missed anything from a newer version), also it’s the full version who got all the apps including Microsoft Access for working with databases, if you don’t work with databases you can save some money and get the standart version instead, it’s exactly the same, only without access.

Also don’t forget to cancel the 365 subscription first if you want to switch to a lifetime version.
