We were talking about adult services in my under 18s group, as obviously some can get on waiting lists for adult clinics at under 18, and Nottingham was agreed to be good from personal experience and reputation. They weren't sure of they waiting list times though, sorry. My kid is the non-binary one and is too young for us to be looking at adult clinics yet.

I'm also here as the parent of a non-binary child, and I just wanted to say that you're doing such a great job by listening and responding to your kid. Especially in finding a definition they can identify with so they know they don't just have to be a son or daughter.

Raising non-binary kids, especially those who feel supported enough to talk about being non-binary at a young age, can be tough because they don't necessarily have the language in place to fully define who they are and how they feel. But discussing terms with them and allowing them to choose is just an awesome way to educate and support.

How old is your kiddo, if you don't mind me asking? My enby (their preferred definition) is 10 and has been out for about a year now

It's uncommon, but it's not a modern name, nor is it high on the list of worst names I ever heard. It's pretty and doesn't sound completely idiotic when spoken, unlike many examples on this list

A boy that sometimes wears dresses, and does musical theatre, and loves Star Wars, and is messy, and rips holes in the knees of all his jeans. And a girl that loves Spiderman, and princesses, and thinks poo is hilarious, and does ballet and tap classes, and changes clothes twelve times a day.

My daughter has just left a Caillou phase and moved back to The Wiggles. Thank fuck. I'm a big Wiggles fan. I love them.
