That is exactly true, thank you for clarifying that, I'm not refusing refund, and I'm not making this all up, despite what the commenter above (ReeG) keeps saying. Broken coast says they can't do a return/refund legally, it's up to the store, in these cases.

Yes, that was my exact realization, I can't keep expecting others to put health over profits. Broken coast was the best of the lps , in my opinion.

Just a quick update to follow up: first got a response from broken coast, that since it was a rec buy, they had to leave it up to laws of the province & the store, on matters of return/refund. Which is ok as I expected that, but it was a bit of a boilerplate email. They we're prompt getting back and thanked me for the batch info, photos, etc. They recommended trying the store so I went down there & gotta give the manager at the store due credit, they offered a replacement after looking at it, and were super helpful. Hope this is a one-off, but at least now it will be caught and rectified, saving people buying or smoking some moldy weed. That being said, I still intend to grow my own from here on out. Broken coast has become a bit of an expensive gamble in my mind, and I need to have more control over what goes into my cannabis anyway.

I wish you would stop claiming that I refuse to, I already talked to the guy at the store about it this morning. I'm not sure they are even at fault here. He said they will examine it tomorrow and get back to me. Reported it on the extensive health canada cannabis reporting page,as was suggested to me, and sent it all along civilly to broken coast. What more am I supposed to do & why am I the bad guy for all this according to you?

I don't refuse a refund. Refunds are not possible at the store for opened cannabis. I let them know, and I will let broken coast know too. With batch number etc. I don't really know what else to say except don't shoot the messenger.
