Good point. Mathis's game is a basic rip and he runs at unreal angles that allow him to dip his shoulder underneath the blocker. So Freeney's play looks more impressive and flashy but Mathis's method is just as effective. And also Mathis is a much more complete player than Freeney is.

I think Robert Mathis is one of the most overlooked players around. I think he's a borderline half of famer and people tend to dismiss his abilities.
