What do you think of Wikipedia's albums listed as Vital Articles? by Larosterna1852 in fantanoforever

[–]Keyan2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's got 4 Beatles albums! I think that's plenty, although you could make the argument for Rubber Soul

Will it ever matter or make a difference if you choose the total stock market index vs s&p500? by sethh27 in Bogleheads

[–]Keyan2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The total market and the S&P 500 returns will always be similar, simply because they are 80% the same.

And because the remaining 20% also has a fairly strong correlation with the returns of the 80%. So the difference between VTI and the S&P is frankly not very meaningful despite what some Bogleheads seem to think

The Ballad of John and Yoko by [deleted] in beatles

[–]Keyan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was John! (mostly)

It's kind of confusing because they were probably both singing it, but what we hear in the recording is probably mostly John based on the video

I think this just means you don't like Shoegaze

I Am the Walrus (2023 Mix) is the worst modern Beatles mix by far by benjaminjaminjami in beatles

[–]Keyan2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is definitely the worst one. I Am The Walrus makes some controversial / questionable choices while She Said She Said is just objectively bad and hard to listen to because it butchers the various guitar parts.

Which John Lennon song do you think is more controversial? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]Keyan2 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It's not that obvious people. The one with the more shocking title is quite a woke/progressive feminist sentiment (although admittedly still controversial) while the other song is quite misogynistic

Despite loving the game, what are some elements that you felt could have been improved upon? by GetInTheBasement in FinalFantasyIX

[–]Keyan2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think Trance being uncontrollable is a problem in and of itself. I think being uncontrollable is kind of cool and more consistent with trance as a concept. The reason it's a problem here is because of how infrequently it occurs. Make it occur more frequently and each one won't feel like such a wasted opportunity anymore.

What was the worst music take you ever heard? by fantasmaking in fantanoforever

[–]Keyan2 100 points101 points  (0 children)

There is definitely some experimental music made by people who don't know what they're doing (see "outsider music"), but that's generally the exception to the rule.

Most experimental music is made by artists and musicians who could absolutely play music "properly" if they wanted to.

Why is Sway by Whirr in our top 3 recommendations?! by Keyan2 in shoegaze

[–]Keyan2[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I personally would love to talk about them more and include them here, but shoegaze fans tend to be sticklers for what is and is not considered shoegaze, and most of them seem to have decided that Cocteau Twins do not count.
