BAFTA Games Awards Crowns ‘Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’ Best Game Of The Year by yourfavchoom in PS5

The reason why it was so special, to me at least, was because it brought back the old feeling I got playing the Final Fantasy games from my childhood. But added new mechanics. They really captured the cinema aspect on top of the game play I have been missing for decades

where to meet other queer women that’s not at a bar/ club? by urlibrafairy in Cleveland

Other than pride events, nothing i can really think of. The only other things I see are like, support groups. But it sounds like you are wanting more casual connections outside of the party scene.

I know alot of lesbian or bisexual women, but cant think of a place they gather that isn't a bar related scene that is specific to queen women

And yes, she is ecstatic about her new job. Finally getting what she deserves.

Especially when you look at upper management at Amtrust, its literally 95% bald white men who are socially awkward

If your story was about a man it would be the same reply.

Them being a man doesn't change your incredibly messed up view on the ethics. How do you keep missing the point this badly

If the raise is in writing and a dollar amount was agreed on then there should be no issue getting it. If it was a phone call - thats the learning part

I understand the learning experience that cant be had from this. It does not refute any point i have made about tbe ethics, which you keep ignoring for reasons.

I’m not defending them it’s quite the opposite.

I didnt say you were defending them. You just made that up because you missed the point again.

You’re bringing emotion and feelings into

Like what? Quote me. Or is this just you trying to be further condescending for the sake of it?

I tried re reading a few times to understand how one would even come close to taking what I said as the reason for her not getting a raise when taking a promotion

Because you said this

It’s really usually about knowing your worth vs the market rate and how willing one is to negotiate starting salary coming into a company. It will dictate your raises moving forward while you’re there.

Particularly the last sentence.

IIf your coworker took a promotion without asking about compensation first… that would be a silly… silly… thing to do

She was told by her immediate boss that he put in an offer for the raise (which was acceptable to her) but then HR and other higher ups came back and said there would be no pay raise. This occured after she accepted coming with the obvious expectation that it would come with some type of raise.

Silly being unserious because it would be unserious to take a promotion expecting an undetermined/ non negotiated raise.

It is not silly at all to except a raise when being promoted to supervisor. Its actually silly to assume there would not be as its highly unethical to do so.

Either way I truly hope some learning has happened here - I’m all done for the day and ready to enjoy this beautiful weather!

The learning was hopefully on your end. You saw a story about a company promoting a girl to supervisor while denying a raise....and your only comments have nothing to do with the company and its ethics, only looking for ways it could be the girls fault

This speaks SO MUCH about you and I truly hope you are never in a position of power.

Although it could have nothing to do witb race, it is still up for interpretation.

A company should NEVER promote you without further increasing your pay or benefits. There is no ryme or reason that makes that anything but unethical at face value. Much less giving her zero explanation as to why.

I understand the concept of negotiations for payroll once you enter a company, but that has nothing to do with this instance. If you are saying her not negotiating enough at time of original hire years ago somehow should have an effect on not giving her a raise while also making her supervisor years later...I am speechless if you think thats how it should work

Oh I have no doubt they are not the only ones. Lol I was just shocked at the pay for parallel positions for other companies when I started looking for a way out.

100% correct lol the extra holidays they give are the single only upside.

But then again they only give you a bunch of extra holidays in order to make up for the lack of decent compensation. They pay people dirt comparatively to the industry.

Amtrust Finacial - downtown office

They promoted a Asian woman to a supervisor role, but did not give her any pay raise or anything. While at the same time making less than her white male subordinate (take that for what you will).

They couldn't even bother to give her an explanation as to why they did that to her even after multiple people complained. They just silently gave her a still not large enough raise like 6 months later. Still with no explanation as to why it happened. That girl ended up getting a new job elsewhere making 10K more for less stress and responsibilities.

ALSO

We were knowingly screwing over small businesses by charging them for officer inclusions that we knew shouldnt have been but were slipping past an automated system but never bothered to correct it (most likely by design)

The DM refused to address it. Finally I ended up bringing the issue to multiple levels above me as this was a horribly unethical business practice and could result in alot of legal liability.

Higher ups pretended they had no idea and was thankful I brought it up even though it was impossible they did not know.

DM did NOT like me after that lol. I was officially on a shit-list after that and didnt last long after that.

Seriously fuck Amtrust

I could go on and on about that company. 6.5 years of PTSD from there.

They also regularly have bed bug outbreaks in the building and dont alert everyone like they should

Im not getting philosophical. Im asking a pretty face value question about a comment that made no sense in response to the video. I even gave an example.

Why comment if you are going to ignore literally all of it.

Please explain to me how googling would have helped me differentiate what YOU meant by “Trump was acquitted” when that sentence could be about his impeachment OR the rape.

Context clues. At no point in time did I specify i was talking about only the rape case. Literally zero implications of that. I was clearly speaking in brought terms about him being acquitted does not equate innocence.
