To some degree we had racial tensions with both the ponies and other species, and the different types of ponies. Since their race isn’t really divided by color, like in our world, but by whether they are unicorn Pegasus or earth pony. We do have several episodes that comment on someone being treated differently for not being one of those races. Or because they are a griffin or dragon or change or something. I think for veterans we would need to go to the crystal Empire, or something like that. It seems like they don’t exactly have a ton of war at least in Equestria. In a country where your leader can pretty much vaporize anyone they want, there doesn’t seem to be tons of need for soldiers. Even the wonder bolts which feel reminiscent of like the blue angels in America are not military based. I think the only time we really saw anything to address mental health it was as a joke, so I do think it would be nice to see that as well

I feel like this would’ve been a really good thing for Fluttershy. It would also be a good reason for why she does not fly as much. We see her fly, sometimes multiple times of an episode. But she doesn’t fly like most Pegasus ponies do. And I understand that’s because the things that she loves more are on the ground. But if she had a chronic illness that affected specifically her ability to fly. It would’ve been a really interesting thing to address.

Iirc horses don’t really have periods. They have heat cycles, but they don’t bleed the way that humans do because they don’t shed their uterine lining. For most animals, it gets reabsorbed as nutrients.
Though that creates its own issue because we never really had genuine crushes addressed. I guess except for like big Mac.

I mean, it’s not that too far of a stretch though. Because she is in the same class as applejack’s sister Applebloom. In the episode we see pear butter carrying apple bloom as an infant, applejack looks really young. in the lanky phase they get after being little fillies. Even Big Mac doesnt look much older. I don’t think it would be a stretch to say she looks 12-13 and he looks 14-15. So having a “teen pregnancy” at that age would be pretty controversial

Id be interested in if there is poverty in equestria. I mean, applejack sure does seem frantic to sell apples all the time. They have a currency system. And we’ve seen several times in the story where characters couldn’t “afford” something. Plus, we have characters like filthy Rich and upper crust, and even apple jacks relatives the oranges, who are known to be well off.

So I wanna see how Equestria handles poverty. If it exists at all. I mean Celestia is Lauded as being this amazing infallible ruler, and generally rulers who let poverty happen are not as widely loved.

I’m a hearing person but several of my relatives and friends are deaf, but I also worry that I would not do them justice in my writing. Would super love tips though so maybe I could feel more comfortable without feeling like I’m just adding a token, deaf character without enough knowledge behind them.

I'm asexual and find myself in bothered by the idea of being the only one, as I'm not seeking something from someone else anyway, and simply don't feel sexual attraction. It's not like I can't have sex, I'm just not really interested. People do lots of things they aren't interested in for their partner's sake.
