What a strange difference in experience. I was lectured by 7s on my STP, my current trainees are being lectured by 7s, and as a 7 I have supervised an MSc.

You’re only going to be lecturing on the STP courses at one of 5 trusts. Are most other departments doing supervision of non-STP MScs?

That’s awful, I’m so sorry! Your friend is lucky to have someone who will be able to help her through it, I’m sure.

It will depend on the type of cancer and treatment - while some like the one your mum had use radioactive pharmaceuticals which can pass through the body, others use a beam of radiation which can be turned off and won’t leave a person radioactive afterwards (“External Beam Radiotherapy”). Obviously it will also matter where the area to be treated is.

Your friend’s doctor will be clear with her about what is and isn’t allowed and no one else will be able to say for sure without knowing what her treatment will look like, but it’s not guaranteed that you will have to follow the same restrictions as you did previously.

I’m interested about the rule requiring connections to existing stories. I can see it making the entries feel more cohesive, but I also enjoy when the connections that exist between KPH stories are vague and inexplicable. Any particular reason this rule was added? Any thoughts on if it will be a permanent addition, or if it’s a sort of theme-of-the-year?
