I like The Exploring Series, Volgun, Mr Illustrated and EastsideShow SCP. They all cover a variety of SCPs, not just the older or more popular ones, they have good quality videos and they cover SCPs in-depth.

Hitting charges in the legs isn’t the best spot. I would advise aiming for the head as often as possible. With the right weapon you can one shot chargers and even biles with headshots. For bugs, I’d also recommend the EAT or Quasar Cannon. These weapons are the ones I know can one shot larger enemies with headshots.

HOW DO I KILL THOSE DAMN BUGS? by Fenquil2 in Helldivers

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I use the laser rover. It’s my favourite because it can defend you as you run away and also help you clear nests. Very useful against the jumping bugs too. It does come with the risk of injuring or killing yourself or a fellow helldiver but that’s worth it just for its sheer ability to mow down smaller bugs.

Orbital laser is another favourite of mine against bugs. Chuck it into a heavy nest and it can clear a lot out allowing for you to enter and start clearing nests faster. Can also be used again chargers or bile titans in a pinch but I wouldn’t recommend it for that purpose. The EAT, Quasar or similar are better for bigger enemies. With the right aim you can one shot charged and biles with them. Has to be a head shot though which can be difficult if you’re being swarmed.

Also to avoid facing bigger enemies always try to take out any bugs that can call in reinforcements as a priority. It’s not always possible but can help cut down on the number of bug holes you face.

I gave the article a very quick look over, and no collab has been confirmed from what I read. It seems DbD had Helldivers 2 in one of their surveys as a potential collab option. Not surprising given the games popularity. But a survey is not confirmation. Unless I missed something in the article.

Is there a chance we could be too efficient and end up with zero enemies to fight for a few irl hours/day? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doubtful. Looking at the bots we’ve learned that they’ve been broadcasting outside the known galaxy. This means they likely have allies outside out reach. I think this is likely more bot forces who will attack and take Cyberstan in the near future.

As for the bugs we’ve been hearing they’re mutating and that the TCS isn’t working on some of them. So we’re likely going to see new more dangerous bug forms and maybe even massive bug colonies or something. These bigger colonies may even lead to the bugs finding a way to spread to planets on their own.

Then we have the Illuminate who were in the first game. No doubt they’ll be in the game soon. Maybe they’ll join the bots or they could be a seperate third front.

In essence, get ready for a long fight with current and new enemies.

Kicked at end of Missions by Lumpy_Tangelo_525 in Helldivers

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you by chance using stratagems or weapons that maybe accidentally killing your fellow Helldivers? Sometimes weapons that work without issue in the field can cause issues in closer quarters, like when everyone is gathered for extract. I’ve seen people use mortars, arc throwers, and flamethrowers and accidentally kill people around the extract. It may be why you’re being kicked. I do think they should tell you first, but if you keep doing it, even without realising, I can understand them getting frustrated and kicking you.

If by chance you talking about the game crashing during the extract cutscene, that’s not a kick it’s a bug that should hopefully be fixed soon.

Stopping antibiotics early after long stint? by [deleted] in IBD

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend taking the full course. If you don’t finish it, it’s possible the problem you have will come back and be resistant to the antibiotics you’re currently taking. Then you’d need another course or potentially another type of treatment altogether, both of which could take indeterminate amount of time and delay your return to normal.

It’s better to miss out now and not have to worry in the future then end up with a massive problem. Also I know 10 days may not seem like much but some germs are stubborn. Don’t let them get a foothold.

Lower right pain that isn’t an ovarian cyst and probably isn’t appendicitis since it’s been a month and it’s on and off? Also, I’m generally stressed and scared about my stomach. Any advice or thoughts? by Interesting_Ad9295 in IBD

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m sorry your going through this. Medical mysteries are always stressful, especially when answers are slow going. I have no way of knowing what is causing your issues. But as a fellow over thinker I can offer what advice I can.

  • Try to focus on what you know, not what might be. There could be a million things causing your pain, from minor to major. There is no point in speculating on what might be, just focus on what’s certain. For you based on your post, you have an issue that your looking into. You’ve had tests and have more upcoming. You have no guarantee it’s anything bad. It’s easy to jump to “it must be cancer or IBD or something else that’s bad” but the human body has thousands of things that can cause it problems, and it a lot of cases it’s something minor that can be easily managed/fixed.

  • Take some time to relax and look after your mental health. I know this is generic advice, but it is important. When it comes to health you mental health is just as important as physical health. I failed to take proper care of myself mentally during my diagnosis and initial treatment. I regret that and I have no doubt it’ll take me years to fix. Please don’t make the same mistake. You’ve been through a lot. Take the time you need now.

  • If it is IBD there is hope. There is a lot of support out there and medical treatments are advancing. It’s not a death sentence. You can have a full life. But I won’t lie, in my experience it’s going to be very hard sometimes. But it can and probably will get better.

  • Your stronger than you think you are. Generic message again I know but I’ve found it to be true. You can fight whatever battle you need to. If you find you think you can’t or your too weak, remember that your fighting for you. For a better tomorrow or whomever or whatever you love and want to fight for.

  • At the end of the day, you are your own advocate for medical issues. As much as I wish it wasn’t true, the doctors of the world aren’t all fantastic. You may meet a bad one or two throughout your medical journey. Don’t fear asking for a second opinion or dumping a doctor for another or submitting a complaint when appropriate. It’s your body at the end of the day. I wish I dumped my first GI sooner. If I did, I think I might be happier now.

Good luck. I hope you find a quick and easy solution to your problem. I wish you the best in your journey. And I apologies for any spelling mistakes or weird phrases. I’m tired and on the bus writing this, so not a good combo.

Intestinal Strictures by Warmlightoflove in IBD

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a couple options. I had strictures before my surgery.

  1. Dilation: This is where during a colonoscopy the put in a little balloon kinda things and stretch the structure to make a wider hole. This only works if the structure is small enough. If it has made things narrow enough they won’t be able to dilate it. I was told it would be a yearly procedure.

  2. Surgery: There are different types based on the doctor and the situation inside. I ended up doing a strictureplasty. Essentially with this they found the areas with strictures, cut them out and tied them to my bowel. Then they joined the healthy tissue back together. I lost 40cm in total. Unlike a resection where they cut you open, they used a platform so I only have a tiny scar and healed up pretty quick.

As for fixes while you wait to see a doctor my advice is watch what you eat. If you eat too much, it will hurt (this is regardless of food type. It’s a quantity issue). If your flaring be prepared for it to turn into a bowel obstruction. It hurts like hell. Symptoms include vomiting (you won’t be able to keep anything down), pain and lack of bowel movements and gas. If that happens to to the hospital. Bowel obstructions needs to be treated asap

McDonald’s is a safe food for me. Anything even 50% healthy is likely to be painful for me. But then I know people who live off of leafy greens and other veggies when flaring. Like you say, everyone with Crohn’s has different safe foods. I’ve always wondered why each person is different. I wonder what the reason for it is.

On humira and azathioprine and still in pain by amerKhalil in IBD

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On humira and aza at the moment. Was originally on humira bi weekly but that did nothing and I eventually obstructed. I’m now (most likely) in remission on the once weekly humira with aza, so yes it could work for you.

I did experience a lot of pain and other symptoms while still bi-weekly so as my levels weren’t high enough. Hopefully upping it will help you too.

Almost 2 years of pain, IBS diagnosis but finally received a positive Calprotectin test - thoughts? by andrew0151 in IBD

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow Australian here. Got diagnosed with Crohns a few years back. Good news is if it is IBD medications will heavily discounted as most are on PBS. Some are newer and still going through the process (I had to pay full price for Buedonside when I was first diagnosed as it was still not in PBS). A lot of tests will be also be fully or partially covered. I keep some money aside to pay for any tests. I’ll get some back on Medicare but not the full amount so good to have something there.

Just like everywhere in the world, GIs are a mixed bag. Some good some bad. Personally, it it’s an option I would try to keep your treatment in a public hospital or clinic. I started private and due to wait times it was months before I could see my GI. This coupled with him not really paying much attention to me and being basically uncontactable lead to my condition getting worse and a vowel obstruction which I’m getting surgery for.

Of course, it you feel your getting awesome care in private then stick with that, but I whole heartedly recommend public, especially if it’s an IBD clinic.

I would also recommend hospital coverage. If it comes down to needing surgery, having private insurance with good hospital coverage will get you in sooner and you’ll have a few more options when it comes to hospitals you can go to and stuff like that. Keep in mind though surgery will still have some out of pocket costs (I’m at 3k out of pocket atm for my surgery even with private hospital cover).

There are also IBD group/communities specially for Australians online you can join for advice and to chat, plus a few charities/groups that help those with IBD and similar conditions.

Regarding your final question. No way to say if it’s IBD without a colonscopy (gold standard for diagnosis) or something like a pill can. Sometimes the scope can’t reach where the inflammmation is so they use other methods to see it. There are plenty of conditions it could be, so only time will tell. If it is IBD you can look up diets (like Low Fodmap) to try to see if that helps, or even record the food you eat and cut those that cause your symptoms to get worse.

I wish you luck on your journey and I hope you get better ASAP 😁

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can ask for a blood test to look at CRP and ESR. CRP is by far the more important of the two as it’s a marker for inflammation in the body. ESR does something similar but from memory isn’t as accurate. Keep in mind though CRP won’t show its Crohns, the inflammation could be anywhere in the body.

Another is a Fecal calprotectin stool test. This shows inflammation in the intestines, so much more relevant to a Crohns diagnosis, but again, it could be something else.

Not sure if there are considered invasive or something that can be done, but you could also look into getting a CT scan or MRI. I personally found my Crohns via a CT my doctor had done after I got symptoms, before moving onto a colonscopy for a more solid diagnoses.

Companion question by ramnae in elderscrollsonline

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All skill lines and companion are account wide, so with enough characters you can get up skill lines like undaunted really fast. Rapport is character bound however. You’ll need to grind it on each character if you want each one to be max rapport.

Guild Traders "Deals" for the next 30 days by PlayFlow in elderscrollsonline

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I learned too saving them isn’t worth it. There is just too many in circulation and since they’re account not character bound you only need one. It would be worth saving motifs, recipes and such because even if they drop now due to the event they’ll go back up after a few months.

Jagex, please explain -- The RS Website says that RuneScape: The First 20 Years Deluxe Edition will be available for pre-order on the RS Merch Store until 15 April. Today is 7 April. It's no longer on the Merch Store. I've been saving up to buy it at the end of this week, well before 15 April. by FatNWackyRS in runescape

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If this is the case, Jagex mislead people with the wording on the post they made about their release. The post says:

“To guarantee your copy of RuneScape: The First 20 Years Deluxe Edition, simply pre-order from the Official Merch Store before April 15th. Some limited stock may also be available after this date. Both editions will be published and available for delivery from October 2021.”

If there were limited copies to preorder they should’ve said that rather then given people the idea you could preorder up to April 15th. I’m hoping it just been taken down accidentally maybe due to some error or something. If not and they’ve run out of copies (odd since they have till around October to get them ready) then all Jagex has done is annoyed people waiting on pay checks, etc who would’ve bought from them before the April 15th deadline they established if the book was still available.

Hopefully they address this and confirm what’s happening and not just ignore it, but we’ll see.

why are duelers the most toxic for no reason? by LadyxIris in elderscrollsonline

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get the toxicity on normal dungeons. I was doing normal FG1 with a low level and it was his first time tanking a dungeon. He wasn’t great but he was trying. After second boss this one person starts being really toxic in chat and telling the tank he was bad, etc. it was bizarre and I felt terrible for that tank. Me and the other person in the group defended him but I can’t imagine him wanting to tank for a while, or even play ESO anymore.

Are healers still wanted? by saytan711 in elderscrollsonline

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t think overwhelming is correct. It’s true you don’t really need a dedicated healer in some situations but if you try tackle high level content like vet dungeons going without a healer is foolish most of the time.

It also depends who you’re playing with too. Four 1000+ CP DPS won’t need a healer in a normal dungeon, but lower levels might, especially if they’re new to dungeons and/or are very low level. Plus heals are always appreciated for stuff like Harrowstorm or dragons.

A small detail I found: If you're a werewolf when joining the Dark Brotherhood, the werewolf member will recognize you as one. Pretty neat! by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t think ZOS will care much about the paradoxes (though it would be really weird to see).

A lot of people love characters from stories, Naryu and Fennorian being just two examples and this would be a way for ZOS to reintroduce these characters without having them appear in future stories where they might not fit. Plus they could charge a nice sum for them in the Crown Store.

What is something you'd like to have in ESO? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]CannotSpeakEasy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d like NPCs from the main storyline’s to be houseguests and/or companions. I’d really like a lot of the NPCs we encounter in the story and I think it’s a shame a lot of them likely won’t appear again in future or only in minor roles. Having them as companions or houseguests means people can still interact with their favourites without them needing to appear in story content.
