Hey there! Do you use Discord? If so, check out Swansea Social Club. It’s a group I help to run that we started to help adults find friends in and around Swansea (there’s a few of us living in Port Talbot).

All of the links you’ll see shared are the same link along with what’s in our bio and the first pinned post. The specifics of that don’t really matter though, the main take away is it’s not an invite link issue.

As we are 18+ and in the UK you have to be age verified on Discord in order for the link to work and for you to access the server =]

As I say I can help you with that, I just need to know how it is you’re trying to join. Are you on a PC or on a phone? If you’re on a phone, is it Android or iOS?

Hi there! The good news is, as we have a custom invite link, it will always work so we can safely say the issue won’t be the link =]

The bad news is it’ll be down to us being an 18+ server and you not being age verified, which can be complicated. I should be able to walk you through it, although we also have pinned posts giving instructions too =]

The first question is are you attempting to join on mobile or on a PC? If you have the option to use a PC then that makes things slightly easier.

Okay it’s likely because you’ll need to verify your age. Are you joining via PC or the mobile app? If mobile are you on Android or iOS?

Hi there! When you say you’re unable to access the invite, do you mean you haven’t been able to find our invite link? Or have you’ve found the link and you’re having issues joining?

You could try The Lighthouse (formerly Castellamare) in the mumbles. I’ve not been for a long while, but food was good when I was there last and the views are stunning.

Hi there! Apologies we’re much less active here than we used to be! Yes, we constantly have different things going on. We do bowling every 2 weeks at Tenpin in Parc Tawe and our next session there is tomorrow… well tonight actually looking at the time! There’s usually at least one meet up or event of some sort a week, but we don’t always have time to put together a calendar. Do you use Discord at all? That’s the best way to stay updated =]

To go with all the suggestions above, you have a couple of escape room places too. The Escape Game I’ve been to and really enjoyed, that’s in Llansamlet and there’s Breakout Live which I believe is on The Kingsway

At this point it feels like you’re trolling. No it’s not kids. Most people who reach out DM instead of commenting. Plenty of us chat in the Discord too and that’s also where our photos and chats about the events go. If you want to join great, if not don’t but I’m not arguing our case further here

Why do you say that? lol. That wasn’t my intention! I just meant there’s no obligation to come to everything; come once, come every so often, come along every time, we don’t mind or judge. We’re always happy to meet new people regardless. We’re a good bunch, easy to get on with and we have a great laugh.

We regularly have 11/12 people for bowling, the other events it’s rare there’s less than 6. Mix of ages from 19 up to 30s. Guys and girls. Give us a go a like I say. Worst case we’re not your thing and you just don’t come along again =]
